If you are looking for a trendy and celebrated local where tasty pintxos and appetizers and delicious cocktails are served, Sagardi is probably a good place for you. One of the several locals situated in La Ribera (I admit being particularly fascinated by this district), just a stone's throw from the church of Santa Maria del Mar, it stands out for its remarkable ambiance and top quality drinks, which made it one of the most prestigious places in the centre of Barcelona.

My personal experience there consists in a quick drop-in with some friends of mine just before lunch time, when the happy hour was at its very best. Indeed, the local was quite crowded and we had to content ourselves to stand at the counter, as all the tables were already taken at the moment. As a compensation for this, we were served an abundant and fresh glass of tinto de verano (a sort of local version of the more famous sangrìa). Enjoying our cocktail, we also had the chance of contemplating the vast assortment of pintxos which which was on exhibition on the counter and looked really delicious.

The only partial drawback of this otherwise superb place is the quite high price which you are charged for such a fashion setting. The pintxos, indeed, cost about 2 euros each, while we paid almost 4 euros for our delicious cocktails...but after all, top quality usually comes at a cost!

Se siete alla ricerca di un locale famoso e in voga dove gustare appetitosi pintxos e stuzzichini o deliziosi cocktail, Sagardi è probabilmente il posto che fa per voi. Uno dei numerosi locali situati ne La Ribera (ammetto di essere particolarmente affascinato da questo quartiere), ad un tiro di schioppo dalla chiesa di Santa Maria del Mar, spicca per il suo ambiente notevole e per l'ottima qualità dei drink, il che ne fa uno dei luoghi più prestigiosi del centro di Barcellona.

La mia esperienza personale consiste in una rapida visita con alcuni amici giusto prima di pranzo, quando l'ora dell'aperitivo era nel suo momento migliore. Difatti, il locale era assai affollato e abbiamo dovuto accontentarci di rimanere in piedi nei pressi del bancone, dato che tutti i tavolini erano occupati al momento. In compenso, ci è stato servito un bicchiere fresco ed abbondante di tinto de verano (una sorta di versione locale della più celebre sangrìa). Mentre ci godevamo il nostro cocktail, abbiamo potuto anche contemplare il vasto assortimento di pintxos in bella mostra sul bancone, che sembravano veramente deliziosi.

L'unico parziale svantaggio di questi locale altrimenti superbo è il prezzo abbastanza elevato che dovrete pagare per un ambiente così elegante. I pintxos, infatti, costano all'incirca 2 euro l'uno, mentre abbiamo pagato quasi 4 euro il nostro delizioso cocktail...ma dopo tutto, la qualità normalmente ha un costo!
