Pod Wawelem

This must be one of the most visited restaurant by tourists, located just on the side of wawel castle. I went twice and had a totally different opinion the second time. First was great, not so crowded, waiters had some time to chat with us, beer is served in 1Liter glass and food was really good. Cuisine is typically polish that’s the reason why it is so popular. Second time (and personnaly the last) we wenet there and despite the fact we made a reservation for 8PM the place was fully packed and we had to wait until 8:20 to get some places available. Then we were asked to leave our coats at the cloakroom (which is not for free). We were sitting next to the orchestra and that was really too loud, I went out and my head was hurting for loud polish music for 2 hours non stop! Waiters were rude this evening and the food nothing compared to the quality of my first experience. As soon as we finished our plates we were asked to leave to let other customers sit. Mixed feelings really.. Original “concept” is that you can weight yourself on a big balance before and after entering the restaurant. Last time I took 3 kilos in 3 hours ;)
