Krakow Business Park is located in Zabierzow, small town just outside of Krakow. It is just five minutes by car from the airport John Paul II. The easiest access to go there is by train, from the central station (Dworzec Glowny) it takes just 15 minutes, stopping in between three times in "Lobzow PKP" and stations in "Mydlniki" area, so that wherever you live in Krakow access is very easy.
You can also come by car which takes approximately 15 minutes from the center of Krakow but that unfortunately can reach nearly 40 minutes when there is a lot of traffic jam, and there is all the time between 7:30AM and 8:30 AM and 5PM and 6PM. There is a very wide parking lot as you can see on the picture below.
One bus is also going there if you live in "Bronowice" area that can be a more convenient way but of course it takes more time and is less comfortable. I am currently working there and during the summer I also use my bike (8 kilometers ride) but you can take a shower when you arrive there (if you are working of course! ) I can't see any other reason to go to Krakow Business park unless you are working in one of the many companies located there or if you were lucky enough to get a job interview!
The Krakow Business Park (abbreviated as KBP) is not even twenty years old so buildings are modern and great to work in. This is definitely the highest concentration of multinational companies in Krakow and accordingly where the highest concentration of workers is located.
International groups such as HSBC, Shell, UBS and many others are located in Zabierzow KBP. The reason those companies are moving to Poland is of course cost of labour is cheaper than in "western Europe" but I think not only it's also the quality of work delivered in Poland might also be considered. From my little experience in Poland, i believe Polish people I met working in those companies are ambitious, clever and skilled with languages.
I wrote about this place also because a lot of foreigners from Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Ukraine... and many other European or non-European countries work in this KBP. I am pretty sure many of them were either studying or had a past experience with Poland and loved it so much they decided to settle down in this city. I am one of them! :) Salaries are attractive regarding Polish standards and work conditions are very satisfactory.
Local cafeterias, ATM machine, sport center are located within the perimeter of the Business Park. Eventhough I sometimes feel like an ant going to work, I am happy for now with my work here and hope to grow a carreer in this place! :)
