Are you looking for a bike to rent? Maybe one of those Brompton's that fit everywhere? Or maybe you would just like to go for a ride for a day, or for your whole Erasmus stay? Here you have a place located in a renewed square in Lisbon and it is called Bike Pop.

What do They Offer?

Bike Pop offers Brompton bike rentals, those bikes that fit everywhere and are very robust and versatile. You pay 15€ for one day's rent. It fits in any luggage compartment, you can go inside any monument, a restaurant or even leave the bike in the comfort of your room without any concerns so you do not even need to carry a locker.

To rent one you have to go to the store. All rentals include helmet, lock, lights and air pump, which are optional and free of charge. A deposit of 100€ is needed, with an identification card. There are also bags available for you to carry things around in your bycicle. In the end you have to return the bike in the store's location.

Renting for More than One Day

There is also the option of renting a bike for a prolonged amount of time, such as your whole Erasmus stay. Prices are not fixed, but you can make a deal with the owners on a price. Bike fixes and maintenace are also offered by the store, so even if you do not have, or wish to have, a Brompton, and if you have a problem with your bike, bring it here!

Moreover, Bike Pop provides courses and workshops on how to ride a bike, driving in urban environments, bycicle simple and advanced mechanics; produces events and recreational activities; installs infrastructure such as bike parkings and self-service maintenance posts; designs urban equipments and special bikes.

If you are interested in working here, or doing voluntary work, try to go in the hotter months, when there is more business and tourism, and they may need help.

Where to Find Them

You can find the store in the Largo do Intendente, next to Avenida Almirante de Reis, at Largo do Intendente Pina Manique 21, 1100-285 Lisboa.
