A beautiful monastery as a students' residence

Published by flag-pl Angelika Jurkowska — 6 years ago

"Residencia" is an old monastery from the XVII century converted into a dormitory for students. It is situated about half hour distance from the university.

(The outside view doesn't give you an idea of what this building hides inside! )

You can use the bus or the subway to transport yourself there. The residence's building is located next to the main river of Portugal - Tagus River. If you are lucky enough, you can get a room with a beautiful view to this river - it will delight you every morning and night with amazing and breathtaking views of the sunshine covering the surface of water. You can also experience seeing big and exclusive cruise ships weekly. The residence building by itself has a special environment. You can feel the atmosphere of old centuries by walking through the corridors separated from the outdoors by white columns, or looking outside to the labyrinth garden with a fountain in the middle.

(Isn't this view amazing? Imagine seeing it everyday - so calming... feels like time traveled! )

Focusing now on accommodation: you can stay in a double room (250 euro/per month), a triple or quadruple room room. The rooms are very big and contain a private bathroom, so it's very convenient. There is also the possibility to live in a double room with separate bathrooms - this option costs 175 euro per month.

At one's disposal there's also a public kitchen, games room (with snooker, football TV), computer room (you have to have your own computer), studying room (for whoever needs silence). Of course there is also wireless and cable internet available in every room.

(This is how a double room looks like - it's enormous comfortable)

Residencia is a good place to stay for those who like Lisbon's nightlife: the Baixa-Chiado and Santos districts are less than 30 minutes of a walking distance. During the day you can see some examples of amazing architecture of the city. The closest and best part to start is Santa Apolonia - situated just 10 minutes from the residence.

Come, check-in and enjoy!
