The Good Burger

If you like burgers, but you're tired of always having the same ones from McDonald's and Burger King, then I'm going to let you know a delicious alternative which isn't much more expensive.

Where is it?

The Good Burger, or 'TGB' (not TFG), is a chain of burger restaurants. Therefore, you can find quite a few of them in the region. If we start with Cartagena, you can find a TGB in the centre of the city, on the street Calle del Carmen. The other one is in the shopping centre Espacio Mediterraneo, on the top floor, in front of the cinema box-offices.

In Murcia, that I know of, there are two restaurants: one of them is also in the city centre, really close to the Merced University, on the street Calle Enrique Villar. The other, you can find in the shopping centre La Nueva Condomina, which we'll talk about later on.

Food

As I said, it is a burger chain, so most of the dishes on the menu feature burgers. But... What great hamburgers! From those that I have tried, you'll agree that the quality of the ingredients is far better than those used in McDonald's or Burger King. It's true that it could be a lot better, but being a fast food restaurant, it's definitely not bad.

If I'm not mistaken, there are also salads and other starters like fried chicken. In terms as sides, its the usual chips, and you can choose between normal ones, wedges, and I think crinkle-cut ones. The best thing about the chips is undoubtedly the sauces, as here they are a bit more original. Instead of offering the usual sauces, they are a bit more creative and offer garlic and herb sauces and others which include different ingredients, like, for example, honey.

The prices

You can't say that it's an expensive restaurant, but it's true that if you're comparing it with other fast-food chains, it is a little bit more. Normally everyone spends around 10 euros to eat there, ordering a meal with a drink.

However, there are deals to draw in customers, like Cien Montaditos do for Wednesdays and Sundays, TGB offers 2 for 1 on burgers that aren't double ones, every Thursday. Although these burgers are only worth 4 or 5 euros, you'll notice the difference. And if you don't have friends to share the price with, you can always eat the two burgers yourself.

Decoration

One of the things that I like most about TGB is the decor. It's nothing out of this world, but it's cooler and more original than what is in most other fast-food restaurants. The ceiling is decorated with lights, there is a mix of different chairs which all have a different shape, even ones which are padded. The walls are also decorated with green posters, display cabinets, even bicycles...

In all of the ones that I've been to, except for the one in the Espacio Mediterraneo, there is as much indoor seating as there is outside, so you can choose where you want to be.

I don't know, I think it's really cool.

Advice

My advice is, of course, that you go on a Thursday to make the most of the 2 for 1 offer. Also, the drinks have unlimited refills, so if you are going to order drinks, I recommend that you only order one between you and share the cup, grabbing a couple of straws too.

And finally, bear in mind that TGB is really busy on Thursdays, especially at the TBG next to the La Merced University, so if you want to go there, go with time to spare. Alternatively, go an hour before the usual eating times, so if you want to go for lunch, it is better to go at 1 pm or 3. 30 pm, instead of going at 2 pm.
