Foundação de Serralves
The Serralves Foundation is a great place to visit if you spend time in Porto. It is located a bit outside the center, but it is quickly accessible by bus starting from the Casa da Música.
The Serralves Foundation has built a large park, very pleasant for picnics in fine weather, but mostly contains a fine museum of contemporary art designed by álvaro Siza, Portuguese architect, winner of the Pritzker Prize in 1992. The exhibited works are very interesting and deal with many issues, besides all the exhibitions are enhanced by the beauty of the building itself.
It is worth visiting because it manages to blend together contemporary art and architecture in an excellent way.
