The best beach sunset in Porto
Miramar beach is my favorite spot to watch the sunset in Porto and, according to European Best Destinations 2015, the 10th most beautiful beach in Europe.
Here you can find the famous chapel of Senhor da Pedra (Lord of the Rock) built in 1686, as well as various "esplanadas" (promenades) where you can have a drink while watching the sea.
It’s not a tourist place, but of course during summer is quite popular. You should totally visit this beach during your stay in Porto and take your friends there when they come to visit you. There is some kind of magic around here – I’m sure you will love it.
How to go there by public transport from Porto (city center: S.Bento or Campanhã)
The easiest way is to take the train to Ovar (be careful, the one to Aveiro doesn't stop there) and get off in Miramar station. Then, you just need to walk more or less 5 minutes and you’ll be on the beach.
