You might think it’s easy to escape, but trust me, nothing is less true. All participants have to put themselves in a position as investigators and resolve mysterious puzzles, find clues and objects. You will be full of adrenaline during the 60 minutes of the game. The keyword is ‘teamwork’ to escape the room in time. That’s why also a lot of businesses participate in these escape games. It’s great for team building and to escape from the daily routine.

The Japanese were responsible for the invention of these escape games, whereby they translated the digital games into the real world. In Porto they have themes that are related to the history of Portugal, for example the one I did with my group of friends was the Porto wine sabotage game.

In this specific game paying attention to details is very important! The story is about vineyards in Porto that were destroyed by some specific insects. Our task was to break into the house of Jack, the man who we believed was the criminal behind this scene, and to find evidence for our hypothesis. The situation gives you a lot of adrenaline, but we managed to escape in 60 minutes! I guess we only had 10 seconds left before the 60 minutes were over. Apparently not many people are actually able to escape so we were very proud and extra excited. It was challenging and very fun, and I am planning to play a game again soon! You get easily addicted, after a play you want to do it many times more! Highly recommended.
