Caffarella Park

Caffarella Park is a dream, a unique park of its type: it is a piece of the countryside in the heat of the Eternal City. Streams, meadows, waterfalls, cycle paths, picnic tables and finally a farm where it is possible to buy cheese and local produce.

Going down Macedonia street from Zama Square, you arrive in front of one of the park entrances, my favourite one. Caffarella is an enormous park which joins with Appia Antica park, where there are a number of historic finds (Massenzio's Circle, the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella and many others).
