Rosa Náutica Restuarant

Today I want to tell you a little about my experience in a restaurant that has one of the best locations in the whole of Miraflores, a district in Lima, Peru. The restaurant is called "Rosa Náutica", which means "Nautical Rose".

When I was working as a concierge in the hotel Westin Lima, I had the opportunity to be able to find out eventually that the restaurant is actually not very economical, and it is one of the most well-known by tourists and foreigners in the capital. The majority of tourists want to go to this restaurant basically because of its location, which is on the Costa Verde, nestled in one of the breakwaters of the Miraflorino sea. Rosa Náutica is a very well positioned restaurant that can be seen from anywhere on the Miraflores seafront.

Here is a photo of an appetiser that I asked for one time, it was a Limean dish made from yellow potato with yellow chili, stuffed with fish and decorated with a quail egg, as well as having a touch of lemon in the dough, which is typical of Peruvian food from the coast:

As well as being a restaurant, it is also a place where you can buy amenities and souvenirs from Lima and Peru, this restaurant has been operating since the year 1983 and for a long time it did not have much competition, and now that the years have passed and the gastronomic sale also, Rosa Náutica has received a very strong competition in the area such as restaurant Cala which is also in the sea in the picturesque and traditional district of Barranco.

When I went to Rosa Náutica, I couldn't miss the opportunity to take some photos and be able to see the facilities since, as I was working as a Concierge at the time, I had to have an objective opinion to know whether or not the guests of the hotel would recommend where they worked.

I have to say, the place is really beautiful, especially if you want to go with your partner near the window where the waves from the Pacific Ocean pass you by and some people are surfing, which is a really popular sport in Miraflores. However, I have to say that my culinary experience has been a little better in other places in Lima, places that I will tell you about in other publications.

I wouldn't say that Rosa Náutica is a bad restaurant, but I am sure that you can find better experiences in other places in Lima.

On the other hand, I also want to tell you that if you have a partner or friend who still wants to go even after hearing this (this happened to me at work), if that's the case and if you want to experience eating in that restaurant, I suggest that it will be better go to the bar to eat some snacks. After that if you liked the service and the food, you can decide to try part of the main menu.

The restaurant's main menu is international but with a focus on seafood. You can also find Peruvian dishes here, and, as I said before, when I went I could taste a Limean hint with a gourmet influence and a plate of spaghetti with seafood.

Additionally, I also want to keep you alert in this restaurant because it is not an cheap restaurant. So, as I told you, initially it is better to go alone to the bar where you do not have to make a reservation, and you are attended by arrival order. Instead, if you want to go to the table first, it is necessary to make a reservation in advance.

Finally, I would like to tell you that the restaurant is open every day of the week, including Sundays. If you are really interested in coming here, my suggestion is that you come in summer so that you can enjoy the location fully.

Rosa Náutica also has event rooms for rent for those of you who want a separate room there, just in case!
