A museum with the flora and fauna of Lima
Hello everyone!
I hope that each and every one of you is well. In the Arenales Avenue you can find one of the most impressive museums that I have ever been able to visit in Lima. You could say that it is practically one of a kind and it belongs to the National University of San Marcos.
Animals in the museum
This museum is known as the Natural History Museum and here we can find an interesting collection of stuffed animals from throughout Peru's history. Not only this, there is also a botanical garden and the remains of a giant fish called a sperm whale.
Memories
When I was at this University, my group of friends and I decided to do a work of valuing this museum that, at that time, was not very busy, but today history is changing for good! We can see that there are many more children who go with their school teachers to learn more about the flora and fauna of Peru.
On the other hand, let me tell you about museum also organising night activities on special dates where, for example, you can see bats and the advantages they have in the development of the balance of nature. This museum will not only teach you this, but at the same time show you all the biodiversity that we have in Peru.
Varieties
There are birds, mammals, reptiles and many other species that have been dissected in order to show a realistic view that can sometimes be a little scary. For example, inside this museum there are the remains of a giant sloth from the time of the dinosaurs... simply spectacular!
I don't think it's just a children's museum, any one of us can come and discover this wonderful place that will teach us a lot and show us a good time.
I hope that you have enjoyed this little description of this place you can explore in Lima! Thank you very much for reading this article and about the places that transcend time and make us think that Lima should have the right to be the best place to live!
Until next time, Lima-lovers! Continue discovering more about our city...
