Larcomar Shopping Centre

Hello everybody! I hope that you are all very well. Today I am going to talk to you about a tourist place in my city, known by many as the Larcomar shopping centre.

Larcomar is the most popular shopping centre in Miraflores and it is located on the seafront of the Green Coast above Salazar park. Today Larcomar is home to a lot of the most recognised shops in Peru.

As well as several clubs to enjoy, such as Aura and Gotica.

Larcomar also has facilities such as a theatre, cinema and different jewelry, clothes and book shops. All in all, everything that would find in a shopping centre is here.

Larcomar is located in front the Hotel Marriott, a five star hotel in Miraflores as well as Larco avenue which is where you will find Miraflores roundabout also known as Kennedy park.

From Larcomar, you can see Lima's sea and you can hike to the top to enjoy the view of Lima. If you go north of here you will reach the Love park and if you go left, you will reach the Barranco district, known as Lima's bohemian district.

Now, I will tell you that Larcomar is still expanding and there is currently a project to build another five star hotel from the intercontinental chain. Below Larcomar, you reach the beach, which is something that creates a lot of controversy in my city with nature conserver's because modernity is taking over the Green Coast. The natural cliffs are becoming lost and the green is already disappearing. There have even been cases were the stones fall down to the lower part where thousands of cars pass daily and they have put protective nets around the Green Coast to prevent accidents.

Today Larcomar is without a doubt, one of the most popular shopping centres with tourists and with those who pass through Miraflores to meet up with friends in its restaurants such as the restaurant Chilis which has a relaxed and informal atmosphere for young people.

In the surrounding areas of Larcomar, you can also find a tourist information desk as well as places to rent skates and bikes and relax for a while before travelling around the Green Coast.

I don't think that there is another shopping centre in Peru that has the privileged view that Larcomar has and it is what makes it unique. It is obvious that it is not the only shopping centre in my city, there are many more in different parts of Lima such as Jockey Plaza, Plaza Norte, Plaza Sur, Real Plaza and a lot of others.

You don't need to go to Larcomar to shop because by sitting on some of its viewpoints you will be able to see a beautiful Lima sunset and if you have time I also advise waking to the Barranco district which in my opinion has the most picturesque and traditional architecture of all the districts on the Green Coast.

On the other hand, you cannot forget to mention that Aura and Goticaare considered part of the most exclusive clubs in Lima. The entrance costs from 100 soles per person. However if you have a contact or you are on an invite list for a party or a birthday, it is better so you can save money.

You can also find a bar with music like Mama Batata and if you want to go for something to eat, you can go to Tanta which is one of Gaston Acurio's restaurants in Larcomar. Gaston Acurio is the most famous chef in Peru and he has different types of restaurants, Tanta serves Peruvian food.

In Larcomar, you can also find the transport company called Turibus which offers tours through the centre of Lima in its panoramic buses as well as taking you to other parts of the city.

I hope that you have enjoyed getting to know this shopping centre that although you can find other shopping centres all over the world, the symbol of Larcomar is its privileged area on the Green Coast.
