Greatest Nightclub in The World!

Published by flag-ie Alan Jennings — 4 years ago

Greatest Nightclub in The World!

Kapital is in my opinion the single greatest nightclub on planet Earth! I haven't been to every nightclub in the world but I see no way that any other place could top this place off! The first thing you need to know about Kapital is that it has 7 different floors! That's right, SEVEN! I didn't believe it when I was told and you probably won't believe me either but you will believe it when you experience it just like I did! Each of the floors is a little different and to be perfectly honest, I can't even remember what was on all seven of the floors! You can't get the most out of each floor on just a single visit as there's just too much to see and do!

Greatest Nightclub in The World!

Just to be clear, we did go on a special night so I have no idea if all of the floors are always open or if all of the special features of the club are available every night. We defintely had access to the full club and they put on a full show for us! It's not cheap to get in either. We even had special tickets that got us in at a cheaper rate and that was still €20! The price did cover 2 extra generous drinks inside though so it wasn't all that bad considering what we were in for.

The ground floor opens into a huge open dance floor with a huge open roof that was so high you could barely see the ceiling! balconies from the upper floors look out onto the main dancefloor and there are little raised platforms scattered around the dancefloor with stripper poles on them as well. The first thing we were treated to was an extravagent fashion show which took place on the main stage that overlooked the dancefloor. Lots of good-looking people dressed in ridicuolous and revealing outfits posed on the stage and some of the balconies as house music was blasting out of the speakers. It was an interesting spectacle if nothing else!

Greatest Nightclub in The World!

We went exploring after this and checked out what the other floors had to offer. There are a lot of stairs to climb so I would definitely advise girls to wear flat shoes to the club. There was one floor completly dedicated to Karaoke and another that was themed after a brand of vodka! I can't for the life of me remember which brand though! The first floor was one of the best actually as it has balconies overlooking the whole of the dancefloor and the view is pretty cool. They definitely saved the best floor for last however. The seventh floor doubles as the smoking area for the club and it is right up on the roof. It is designed like a tropical island with lots of white deck chairs and palm trees everywhere. There are even places that you can lie down if you need to rest your feet after climbing all the way up!

Greatest Nightclub in The World!

Even though all the different floors are great, the absolute best thing about Kapital is Megatron! What is Megatron you ask? Megatron is a giant dry ice cannon that is attached to the ceiling overlooking the main dancefloor. It covers the centre of the dancefloor with a huge blast of dry ice at seemingly random intervals throughout the night. This was a big surprise the first time it happened and it's amazing to be right in the middle of it when it goes off! It really helps you cool down as it can get really hot out on the main dancefloor when it's packed so much. It's also cool to watch people getting blasted from the first floor balcony too. They don't use Megatron every night so you would have to find out for yourself when they do use it.

So if you want to experience a nightclub unlike any other you have ever been to I would say that Kapital is a must see place if you are visiting Madrid. It's also great exercise climbing all those stairs!

The "Kapital" of the Best Parties

In the Kapital

Madrid... Oh Madrid! So nice day and night, full of life and young people desiring some fun. Every weekend you see people from all around the world flock to the city centre with one common goal: a great night of dancing.

Nearly six months have gone by since I moved to Spain, and since the first day, despite the effects of the jetlag, I went out to enjoy Madrid's crazu parties and got a chance to savour how delicious it is to come home past six o'clock in the morning, with a big smile triggered upon remembering the amazing night that I had just experienced. Living at night and sleeping during the day, that was the lifestyle during practically every Madrid day for Erasmus students, and it's impossible to deny. La

So, on this fateful day I am writing to you about, this being approximately six months after my arrival in Madrid, my friend and I decided to venture off to Madrid's most famous nightclub: Teatro Kapital. We knew little about it, only that it was very good and that it featured seven floors of extreme partying, appealing to different rhythms and tastes.

La

We had found a discount on the internet, thus we got in for approximately 15 euros, granting us two drinks each once inside. The first floor was pretty good, featuring a DJ show along with pretty ballerinas live-dancing.

La

If you're a single woman, this is the ideal place for you. If you aren't single, then better you ward off the temptations that arise, seeing as you can encounter men appealing to all tastes (: I'm not trying to insinuate that the only possible plan to spend the night is to "hook up, " however it's never a bad thing to go ahead with that for the sake of enjoying the party in the moment.

La

In one of the other floors, we paused to sing Miguel Bosé's "Morena mía" in the Karaoke floor, which was a success and allowed us to express our culture to the fullest, and allowing us to listen to the other people sing their favourite songs as well.

La

On the following floor, we went to dance to our favourite Latin beats, such as bachata, cumbia, reggaetón and more. This was in a dark room overlooking the first floor, but with a soundproof room so you didn't hear the music from below.

La

Finally, we made our way to the terrace on the top floor to have our last drink and enjoy the contemporaneity of the ambiance, before finally heading back to the first floor and exiting the club in a full Madrid sunrise.
