Granada, Spain
Granada is a famous city in the southern part of Spain. Granada is located in a beautiful surrounding which consist with rivers and small hills. City is well famous among tourists due to the fact, The Alhambra, which is a Moorish citadel and palace. Apart from Alhambra palace, there are more other tourist destinations in the city namely, Cathedral, Royal Chapel, Albayzín and Sacromonte. These are amazing places which show the history and the culture of the city. Places like Albayzín were announced as UNESCO world heritages. It is very convenient to visit these places if you find an accommodation near to the city centre since these places are located at walking distance. But if you wish you can use public transport or city tour bus to visit these places.
While I was walking in the city I found lot of narrow paths in the city which were given an additional and unique beauty to the city. I was walking in the street built with stones which directs to small villages on small hills. From the upper part of the hill, the view was so beautiful. If you plan to go there I recommend you go in the morning, if you do not have a good knowledge about the area since you might get lost.
I had a great experience in this city during three days of my stay. I could find very cheap accommodation with breakfast. I just spent 15 euro per person per day. Even though the breakfast was limited for few items, it was more worth than 15 euro per day since the rooms were clean and tidy. At the same time, the hotel was few meters away from the city centre. It was more convenient for us to have a good time there.
The main street of the city and city centre is always crowded until late night and no need to worry about travelling at night. The city and the main streets are so beautiful at night. There were lot of shops for shopping and variety of restaurants for dinning. There are some lanes which are famous for restaurants and dinning specially at night. When I went along these streets I felt like I am walking in the hungry street. Foods are very cheap and tasty. I could enjoy different types of Spanish foods including sweets.
I went to visit some places including Alhambra palace. I guarantee that you can have a quality time in this city. To enter to Alhambra palace, you should buy a ticket which costs around 15 euros but there is small part of Alhambra palace which you can visit without buying a ticket. But it is worth to spend 15 euro since Alhambra palace is so beautiful and unique. If you have European youth card, then they offer some discounts for the ticket.
