TI AMO | MY LOVE FOR THIS CAFE

Published by flag- Oat Sitalasai — 9 years ago

I did talk about this cafe earlier in the post under Best Cheap Eats | Sydney Part 3, but for this very post, I will further talk about the drink and snack option that I would recommend you to try!

Diving right in, you should definitely (no excuses what so ever) order the green tea latte, or its cousin, the taro latter. They come in a regular size and a larger size - for maybe an additional fifty cents? - which is served in a cozy mug. You can choose for your latte to be made with full cream milk (least healthy option), skim milk (a healthier version) or soy milk (some may say is the healthiest option). Note that if you do order your flavoured latte with soy milk, the taste will be effected by that unique soy milk taste and could either positively or negatively affect your experience. Your call though!

As for what to eat, I would recommend any of their pizzas. I had the chance to try both their savoury and sweet pictures and they were good in multiple occasions. I love Hawaiian pizzas for an unknown reason. I ordered their Hawaiian pizza to satisfy my cravings and it did just that. Oh, be aware though that the food items are quite pricey here. This may be because they price their drinks low but keep their food items high? Not too sure but either way it’s always good to try something new.

One more piece of advice that I find useful is for you to ask for a membership card. The best about the card is that it’s free of charge and you collect “points” every time you pay for something. Like other loyalty cards, you will get either a free drink or a discount on say, you tenth visit. This is a great to have because regardless of how often you go, it is still valid. Another hint is that you can let your friends borrow the card, that way they get more points for you, at least that’s what I did sometimes.

And some other interesting aspects of the cafe.. The staffs are really friendly and will attend to your demands, so don’t be shy to ask for that glass of water or that extra napkin. The indoor section of the cafe has the ground level and an elevated second level. When I work alone, I like to be at the end of the second level since that’s where there are two limited, and very precious spots to plug and charge your electronics. Otherwise, the first table on the right hand side of ground floor has two more spots to plug in appliances. Alternatively, if you’re with more than two people, you could try your luck and head up to the second floor of what we call the private area. It’s a section that’s slightly closed off, and in my opinion, the most comfy spot in the whole cafe. There are more power sockets there, too. Then they have the last section just outside in the terrace of their second floor. It’s a super chill spot with natural wind breezing though. You could also smoke in this area if I’m not wrong. A great cafe overall and one that I would strongly recommend.

For more information, check out their Facebook page for the best and latest! This is where I get to see their newest offers (they have quite a lot), new dishes and drinks, as well as what’s happening in the cafe clique. Oh and most importantly, check their opening hours, because there’s nothing worse that reading this post, with an empty stomach, only to head out and see Caffe Tiamo closed for the day!
