Villa Necchi Campiglio is an astounding 1930s villa, designed by the finest architecture of the ' art déco'.
It is a villa designed for one of the wealthiest families in the area in the name of elegance and modernity (many small things, like the systems to call the butlers, are way ahead of their time) by architect Pietro Portaluppi. and has modern paintings of De Chirico inside.
Also in the area there's Duse square, and palace Berri-Meregalli in via Mozart, a trio of some exquisite' 'liberty style' (italian response to art noveau) for architecture' aficionados.
The ticket, with guided tour included is around10 euros, and the money goes only for the restauration of the villa.
