Pancakes

A small place very central based. It is near Anne Frank Huis (house) and it is located in a very easy street for you to reach.

However, I am sure that there is, at least, another one of these places in Amsterdam, one of them I know to be near the station, but I do remember to have seen at least three of them.

It is a very cosy and welcoming place. Small but absolutely nice and worth the try. The service is amazing, the waitress was helpful and smiley (if you are wondering they all speak English, however, you could learn few basics to impress them). The place is very touristic because it is central but also because it does serve amazing, mouth watering pancakes, and so you might have to wait a little before go in. You are lucky, though, because as I said before, the service is very good, therefore you might wait about 15 minutes as a maximum.

Inside, the place is tidy and cosy, it also offer free Wi-Fi, which is a plus.

Once you are set and ready, the waiter would be quite fast to come and serve you, as much as the workers are absolutely amazing, the kitchen is unbelievable. Everything is cooked perfectly and fast as well!

I believe to have to wait for about 10 minutes and my pancake was very very good. Ok, you got the idea, very very good.

The menu has drinks, salty and sweet pancakes, it offers the Dutch version of the pancakes but it also gives the American version option, of course I suggest to go for the Dutch version, as you are in the Netherlands after all.

I also asked for a coffee, once I was done with eating and with the coffee comes their 'Stroopwafel' which I love. I told them that I love their stroopwafel, I might have found few in my bag, I guess someone of the stuff, had sneaked them in my bag while I was paying the bill. As I said, very nice people.

The bill was absolutely cheap compared to any other place where you have a meal, plus water, plus coffee and they also gave me their cards with all the addresses of their others 'Pancakes' around Amsterdam and, also a little souvenir, which is a 'clog', one of the Netherlands' symbols, and obviously they also have left me a really nice experience.

I absolutely suggest you experiencing the place. 100% positive feedback to the place. My favourite part: toilets. I know weird, right? I went down to use the lady restroom, which is located near the kitchen, the cook was happy to say hi to people that would have come down and that was quite nice to me. The toilet is a small room with a wall full of post it where travellers have left their signatures, I found that cheerful and that's why I smiled when I have entered the room. Finally, the place leave a box in the toilet for customers to use, with girls stuff in it. Among all of them, a deodorant, oh yes if I needed it, after a long day walking all around the city and all day long!
