New Berlin Synagogue

Published by flag- angelo laudiero — 6 years ago

New Berlin Synagogue has became a new symbol of the German capital. Located in Oranienburger Straße, close to the museums island, the synagogue had been burnt and destroyed during the Nazi regime and built again in the Sixties in East Berlin. From that moment, the synagogue was again the main place of worship for thousands of Jews in Berlin.

Actually, it has been turned into a museum too, and you are allowed to arrive on the top of the wonderful dome from where you'll have a breath-taking view of Berlin. Of course, the Synagogue is closed on Saturday, being the holy day for Jews. Tickets are not expensive, especially for children, students and over 65. Don't miss it!
