Ritter Butzke

Ritter Butzke is one of the most famous and authentic clubs in Berlin, beside Wilde Renate and Sisyphos. It is really loved by Berliners and plays different types of music, depending on the event. They obviously play techno, but it is more melodic and happier than the hardcore or acid techno of other clubs. It is a type of music that anyone can enjoy and dance, even if it is not your favourite genre.

There are four rooms, the furniture is retro and a bit "rough and ready": a room is just like a bunker, the internal patio (open in summer) which also has seats, and a room with an attic with many couches. The atmosphere is very cosy, almost magical, thanks to the lights, disco balls and the plants hanging from the ceiling.

Usually, it is not very crowded (it depends on the event), the line outside is rather short and to not be bounced, a simple black outfit is enough, they are not very hard on the selection.

Ritter Butzke is also a record company: you can easily end up in the club and listen to the concert of some emerging artist for little money (the entrance costs around € 15).

For those who know the legend of Berlin's clubbing Komet Bernhard or the Techno Opa (techno grandpa), the Ritter is ideal. In fact, in an interview, he said that this is his favourite club! He comes here often, it's easy to meet him and dance together. He even celebrated his birthday here.
