Fuengirola, Spain
Fuengirola, Spain
This is a beach side city which is close to Malaga in Spain. This is one of the popular destinations on Costa del Sol. You can easily arrive there either by bus or train.
Though this was a tiny fishing village in good old days, today it is very famous for summer vacation, swimming, diving, cycling, fishing, tapas, drinks, night life and activities such as yoga. One of the main important features is the sand beach which is driven for five to seven kilometres. So, though you do not have the ability to swim, don't worry, you can enjoy in the water since it is not deep.
This place is more attractive during the summer feria. Most of the people take part in annual street celebrations. Sometimes young people organize beach parties in this city during the summer season. There are lot of discos to drink and dance which opens until the crack of dawn. In the winter season too, it is very beautiful since the whole city is decorated by lights and Christmas decorations.
To enjoy the sun bath and to find a perfect place in the beach, you should go in the morning since when the time passes it gets crowded. You can see lot of beautiful sand arts and street arts in this city.
You can find many seafood restaurants and typical food in this city under reasonable prices. You can find a lot of hotels to get accommodation in this area. If you like to spend your summer vacation, according to my personal experience, I would like to recommend booking an apartment in this area in advance to enjoy the summer. Then you can find fresh seafood from the supermarket and cook them by yourself.
My personal experience,
I spent 5 days there and we rented out an apartment. Each day early in the morning we went to the beach and had a nice walk in the beach side. Those were refreshing mornings and we enjoyed our breakfast in a cafeteria near the beach. After coming back to the apartment, we went back to beach to have sun bath and swim in the sea. It was an incredible summer for me.
We enjoyed lots of seafoods and we had the best sangria, mojito and paella. the gastromarket is one of the best places for having dinner and night life. You can find many restaurants which offer typical foods and drinks under a reasonable price.
We went to the disco at night. With comparison to other European countries the entrance fee is cheap for these discos. People were very friendly in these places. Latin music and drinks they offer were amazing. I would love to go back there again.
