Boğaziçi University is located in the beautiful neighborhood of Rümelihisarüstü, right above the Bosphorus with lots of stunning views. Because of the large student population, this area is full of affordable and high-quality cafes and restaurants, markets and hairdressers, shops and bars. Even if you aren't studying at Boğaziçi University, this is a neighborhood to check out!
Right in the center of this neighborhood is a new pizza place called Wiseguy NY Pizza. I am a carb-loving vegan, and before I stopped eating animal products, pizza was my favorite food. However, finding vegan pizza in Istanbul has been quite the struggle. Much to my amazement, as I was walking past Wiseguy last week, my roommate saw a sign advertising a special deal on vegan pizza! Right now they have a deal of a medium, 6-slice vegan pizza (with toppings of peppers, mushrooms, olives, corn, onions, and delicious herbal seasonings) for 9.90 TL. Besides the vegan pizzas, they also have a selection of unique pizzas that you can buy by-the-slice, garlic knots, and souffle. This restaurant is now one of my favorites in the area, both for eating in and for take-out.
Along with the delicious food, Wiseguy isn't just a place that you stop by and grab stuff to-go. With jazz music filling the air, quaint seating, and a breezy and open floorplan, the ambience at Wiseguy makes you want to sit back and really enjoy your time over your pizza with friends.
Don't miss this fun, authentic, and affordable place in Istanbul!
