This past winter, I decided that I wanted to see some art. I had spotted a building while crossing the FSM bridge in Istanbul, and it looked like it had terraces with some sculptures. So, I did some research and convinced some friends to join me on a breezy Saturday afternoon.
The Borusan Contemporary Museum is actually an office space for a company called Borusan, but it is filled with art and is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00-19:00 (last guest admitted at 18:00). The admission fee is 10 TL, but I believe there may be a student discount, so show your student ID. It is located a short walk from Bebek and the Bogazici University South Campus.
This museum has really great art, but what stunned me was the view and also the vast amount of photo ops. My friends and I spent hours taking photos around this museum, both with the beautiful Bosphorus view and also with the works of art.
I recommend visiting this museum, especially if you are an Erasmus student at Bogazici University, as it is walking distance from campus.
