assos, ancient city

Assos, one of the ancient cities in Turkey. In Turkey we call it also Behramkale. Its on the coast of Aegean Sea, in Balıkesir. Like most of them , this is settled down on a slope. The castle and the -Doric- Temple to Athena built on the hill. Where you can see the clear turqousie sea and the glassy olive trees... Just outside the castle, there is a turkish village and a mosque from Ottomans. Of course the village was settled by the Ottomans first and today people are still living in Behramkale.
