Alright so in this part I'm going to talk about two attractions that are in the Genting area but a little bit further from the casino and resorts and all. And lastly I'm going to cover my experience in one of Genting’s hotels and we’ll see how it goes from there.
Chin Swee cave temple
Well, so this temple is a must see too. I'm not even going to stress it more, don’t miss out on it, it is prettier than all the other temples in all of Malaysia in my opinion and I have been to a lot of them. So now the temple is not exactly in Genting it's on the way to Genting so I suggest you either go on your way to Genting or on your way out. You can come down the cable car and go there before you leave and then come back to the bus station. Comprende? Good. Anyways this place is amazing, you will probably be taking pictures of the place for hours, I know we did. I actually went there last year; my friends and I spent half a day just taking pictures of the scenery and of ourselves, why lie.

Well the temple is a Taoist temple originally but there is a lot more to it. I honestly always feel at peace and ease whenever I visit this temple, it just has a sort of vibe to it you know, it's full of tranquility to put it simply, I mean the fresh thin air, the feeling of being lost in all those white clouds, it is a truly wellbeing freeing. The temple was constructed a year after Genting itself but only opened to public in 1994, it is rooted in the Chinese traditional architecture; Chin Swee is actually the name of the reverend and the temple pays tribute to him.
What I mean by getting lost in the clouds. I took this picture by the way, you should be proud.
Apart from that, there are these very descriptive statues, travelling from heaven to hell. Not really seeing why would anyone want to travel from heaven to hell but it's nice to discover the afterlife in accordance to Chinese beliefs and traditions, which I found super interesting and cool, it's a great experience to learn about all these.
Stages of hell, be good kids.

Strawberry farm
Anyone that knows me knows that I am obsessed with strawberries, I have strawberries almost all year round, not even caring about how much they cost, that’s how much I love strawberries. Now imagine how much I would like a farm full of strawberries and strawberry products. Actually, the farm doesn’t only have strawberries, other products such as mushrooms and flowers are also cultivated. It is actually quite easy to get there, once you are out of the skyway station you just need to walk about 15 minutes and you’ll reach there. I mean given how great the weather is, I don’t see how that’s an issue. Use Google maps for directions. But still ask around from the people there, I always went with a car so I'm not that updated.

One of the most popular activities, is plucking the strawberries yourself and then paying for them, it is not quite cheap but it's fun for the sake of just plucking some and having it right there. They also sell these really amazing strawberry flavored coffees and I can not stress this enough, these coffees are one of a kind. I actually bought a packet like three years ago and I still remember how it tastes like, amazing just amazing. Make sure you at least try them and then you’ll see that I was right. And you know, they don’t sell them anywhere else in Kuala Lumpur, so...

Genting First World Resort
Genting has a lot of hotels, ranging from cheap to super expensive luxury hotels; however First World is a medium range hotel, pretty much a good price. I'm not going to cover the rest of the hotels, because I have never stayed in them and I can’t have an opinion on something I haven’t done myself. Anyways back to the hotel, the good thing about the hotel is that it is linked to the first world plaza, which is where all the restaurants, arcades, casino and all the other entertainments are so you can just walk out of the reception area and into the plaza for some entertainment. It has over 7000 rooms, just let that sink in, being the largest hotel in the world, by the number of rooms. It is a three star hotel so don’t expect much but I would say it is a good three star, except that it doesn’t have internet in its rooms and that is just pissing off, to be honest.
First world hotel, it has a happy vibe.

The prices of the rooms differ mainly because they have so many different rooms, deluxe, superior, normal and the list goes on, I don’t know all. The check in and the checkout are by 3 pm, rather odd. The price of the rooms start from 120 ringgits per night for two people, which is quite cheap but as the room gets better so do the fares. I suggest using a webpage to make reservations.
This is the superior deluxe room, slightly more expensive than the other ones.
