You guys might be wondering what on earth is going on, these two villages have no correlation with each other what so ever and well you guys are right, the only reason I'm lumping these two places together is that they are both nearby each other so it's worth it to go and checkout both at once. Now I personally prefer the French village to the Japanese village but as usual that’s just a preference, or is it? Well the French village offers more than the other one.

Anyways before we proceed it's not that this is an actual village, it's just a little cute area, with French like architecture, a pond and some shops known as the Japonese village. The weather is much cooler than Kuala Lumpur, so it's a good break from the city. The French village is also known by the name of it's resort Colmar Tropicale, it is less than 50 Kilometers away from the city, and given how much I blabbered on Genting highlands in the previous posts, the French village and the Japanese gardens are both quite nearby Genting.

The whole concept of the French village is to bring you guys the European lifestyle and architecture, the French villages designed with a cobble stone courtyard, it has a stage for live performances and live music, it has many little cozy cafes on the side, it has horse carriages, you guys get the picture I'm trying to build?

How to get there:

Well I have never heard of any metro stations or KTM stations being near these places so I guess getting a cab is your best choice, I mean that is if you don’t have a car of your own. As usual I suggest using “Grab” or actually “Uber” itself, both of them are in competition with one another so, they both have really good fares. The thing about Uber is that you can only pay with a credit card so that might be something to keep in mind. The drive to these places doesn’t take more than hour from Kuala Lumpur itself, but the road is so green and beautiful that you won’t feel bored at all. Oh another good option could be going to Berjaya Times Square, and taking the shuttle bus from there to Bukit Tinggi, now I have never taken this way myself, so don’t go blaming me if it was inconvenient, but my mom used to use this way and she never complained, so I guess it's safe.

Short description:

I guess before getting to the description I described the place enough already. But let’s cover some more details. What I like about the village is that it represents an old version of France, well basically 16 th century French villages. And plus you will feel like you would feel like you are in France, except you know, making your bank account cry actual tears. You know life is hard when your balance reaches negative. There is also a resort nearby there, quite expensive, if I'm not mistaken it is called Colmar Tropicale, I have never stayed there myself, but I have heard many raving reviews on it.

The food options are quite diverse, from cocktail bars, coffee shops, snacks and obviously deliciously prepared French cuisines. You will have a great time exploring the exotic options. Oh oh something else I love is the center stage, the first time we went there, there were these beautiful French dancers and their dance was nothing short of spectacular, there are always a group of performers there, it is actually quite entertaining. Apart from that just enjoy the adorable architecture, get some fresh air, and have some good coffee. What else could you possibly want?

Now, the Japanese village and botanical garden, well if I'm being honest, it is more like a garden than a village, it doesn’t really resemble a village. There is still adorable Japanese tea house, super cute and my favorite thing about the Japanese village. Just sit there, take some pretty Instagram worthy pictures. The botanical garden is also exquisite, especially if you are interested in natural vegetation, I am interested but I don’t know anything about it at all. There is also a spa place here, I hear it's good.
