As I’ve already mentioned, it is quite cheap to live in Bydgoszcz - bigger cities in Poland are more expensive. The fact that they don't use euros makes it even cheaper for people coming from eurozone countries.
Accommodation
Renting a room in Bydgoszcz can cost you around 500 PLN per month (120 EUR) and bills are usually not included in that price. Living in a student dorm is almost always cheaper and can cost around 70-100 EUR. In a student dorm you don’t have to worry about the bills. Food and shopping
When you go shopping for groceries, the cheapest supermarkets are Biedronka and Lidl, they are very popular with students. You will find a lot of them scattered around the city. The main neighbourhoods in Bydgoszcz have their own markets, where you can get fresh fruits and vegetables for a good price. In Bydgoszcz you can also find shopping malls with popular international brands such as Zara, Pull&Bear and H&M, to name a few. The biggest malls are Focus Mall, Zielone Arkady and Galeria Pomorska. Alternatively, if you want to buy some things for you room, there is an IKEA you can go to as well. You can drink tap water in Bydgoszcz, it’s safe, healthy and tasty (and cheap!).

Public transport
