21/22 Erasmus Life In Krakow

Hello Everyone,

I was in Krakow for Erasmus+ in 2021/2022 academic year. First of all, Erasmus was always my dream because of that I have always been doing research for which country and city is proper for me. When I was 18 years old, I decided to enroll an university that has an good erasmus agreement. Briefly, Erasmus had a quite important place on my student's life and decisions. So, I applied for Krakow and then I qualified to enroll to Jagiellonian university. My first day was 28 February 2021 in Poland and I have never forgotten this day :) After enrolling in university, I received an e-mail about the dormitory of university. This dormitory was Nawojka and It has become a place full of memories for me. Firstly, I stayed with a flat mate but later I decided to stay alone because my flat mate was always in the room because of that I have never invited to my friend into my room. The kitchen was generally clean and suit to cook something but some of the students leaved their stuffs in the kitchen but generally it was okay.

I stayed 4,5 months in Krakow and it was amazing. I am saying that because there was pandemic situtation on these days and my school was online. Therefore, I just participated the lessons on my computer and rest of my time, I reserved it for fun. Also, the city has an amazing architecture and life for students and turists. I spent most of my time in this city and I can say that it is one of the most beautiful city in Europe.

Also prices were proper for students to live and have fun. Generally, we bought our stuffs from Biedronka that is the cheapest grocery in Poland. Also, we bought our home stuffs from Auchan that is cheap also. In these shops, you can find a lot of cheap stuff for your room and flat.

Also, there are a lot of good places to have fun and drink beer. Theatro Cubano, La bodega del ron were our favorite places to party. Coco and BaniaLuka were good and cheap places to drink beer.

Finally, I can say that it was an incredible experience for me and I am very glad to participate in such a program. Poland and Krakow were perfect places to go for Erasmus.
