This is an old fortress located Verona which was built in the Scaliger dynasty by Cangrande II della Scala in 1354. Entire construction was done by red bricks according to Gothic architecture. The walls of the castle and the bridge are decorated with M shaped merlons. Castle was surrounded by a ditch which was filled with water in ancient days. Castle is consistent with seven towers.

Today the palace has turned in to museum with ancient arts and other unique relics of Veneto region. The museum was threatened by the relic hunters during the last few years. The ticket price for the museum is quite reasonable which is around 6 euro and it is open every day from 8, 30 to 19, 30 and on Monday from 13, 30 to 19, 30. The bridge of the castle has placed connecting the castle and the other end of the river, which is call river “Adige” having the purpose of escape in case of emergency. This bridge was destroyed by the German troops during the second world war but later it was restored with the original materials.

This bridge is one of the famous bridges in the world which has taken as a location for the “Romeo Juliet” movie produced in 2013. This bridge is open all year along to cross the river.
