This one of the good universities in Italy. It became the best university in Italy several times during recent past. Most of the students prefer to go to this university as Erasmus. The university is located close to the city centre by dividing the in to several parts. There are 12 departments in the university. It offers variety of bachelor degrees, master degrees and PHD programs.

They offer lots of facilities and opportunities to both local and international students. University provides all the facilities to students including accommodation, language centres, library, regional scholarships, ESU facilities etc. I would like to write more details about the facilities and the procedures that you should follow if you go there as an Erasmus or regular student. I am a regular student of university of Verona but not an Erasmus. So, I would like to share some of the important information and my experience there.

ESU

You can get more information from the link, but I would like to give some summarised details about their facilities.

• When you get register in the university as a student then ESU department issue an ESU card. With this card, they offer a bank account for your convenient. Then you can activate your bank account when you go to the relevant bank. You do not have to pay additional charges when you get money from this account and you can use this card to get money from any bank.
• They offer the restaurant facilities in the university. To have the restaurant facilities you should activate your restaurant facilities through the above web site. You should log in to this account by using the username and pass word which is given by them. Then you should present ESU card at the restaurant when you get the meals. If you get a regional scholarship then they offer a one free meal.
• Especially, when you go the ESU you can get print outs for free but you should bring the printing papers with you. But you should go there early since they have limited the number of copies you can take.
• The offer accommodation for reasonable price. But you should pay the full amount for the year.
• This ESU organise lot of events such as ESU day which is a day for entertaining.
• They offer the study room facilities. It is more convenient for group studies.
• Give some special offers or discounts for ESU cards for live concerts.

ISU (International Student Union)

From this place, you can have several facilities. You can create an account or login with your credential to this account and get their facilities. You can see the main facilities they offer.

• Arranging accommodation in private apartments. They help to find rooms in the apartments. Normally for a single room you should pay an amount between 300 to 350 euros. You do not have to worry about the language or negotiations with the landlords. Because they do those things on behalf of you. Usually there are lot of conflicts with students and landlords. So, pay more attention towards the apartment contract and important details. When you book a room then you should give deposit at the beginning but you can have it back when you move out.
• Arranging documents for proceeding visa for non-Italian students. They help you to fill the documents to apply your visa and other relevant documents such as medical cards, fiscal code, insurance etc.
• They help you to discover the university area. They will bring you a journey around the university area to make this place familiar to you. At the same time in any case if you do not know the language they will give you a person to talk on behalf of you. They can speak few languages other than Italian language.
• When you logging to the account you can find some other faculties.

International student office

They offer lot of services to Non-Italian and Non-EU students.

They help for pre-registration activities, possible programme changes, enrolment in the university, issuing the university identity card, managing qualification equivalence which are requested and checking the documentation submitted.

Stage office

This office helps you to find the details of job and internship opportunities.

You should submit the documents regarding your internship to this office since they are responsible in calculating the relevant credits for your internship programme.

Diritto di allo studio

This place offers the information and other guiding to obtain regional scholarships and tuition fee reductions for regular students. Under this scholarship scheme they offer opportunities to work 150 hours in the university. To obtain this scholarship you should pay your tuition fee in time, prepare ISEE from CAF and apply for the scholarship online.

CLA

This is the place where you have to go to learn the different languages, if you are interested in them. They offer these language courses in a professional level and hold the exam. The more important features are,

• No additional cost for the language course, if you are already enrolled in the University as a student.
• Attendance is not compulsory to sit for the examination.
• Issue a language certificate, if you get through the examination.
