The restaurant is located within Plaza Dorada, a small square that is also home to a Greek restaurant and several other units that range from a gym, a bank, a pilates studio, and a bakery to a sound equipment shop and an alternative medicine specialist. The eatery is also located close to Plaza Bouvelares shopping mall and Monterrey Tec (approximately a twenty minute walk away). This is one of the restaurants that I frequent most often; in fact, I have been going here for more than five years, and I think it's safe to say that I could be considered a loyal customer.

What type of food does the restaurant serve?

The restaurant isn't characterised for being particularly "healthy" as such, as they sell baguettes, burgers, delicious desserts, salads (despite being salads, I must admit that they are drowned in dressings and other things that take away the "healthy factor"), enchiladas (if you are a foreigner, you can try a bit of typical Mexican cooking), and enmoladas (similar to enchiladas but the salsa used is mole). With regards to drinks, they have a wide variety of teas, which are very healthy and are available both hot and cold, and they can be ordered "unstrained" (meaning that they are served with fruit), which is a delicious option. They also serve smoothies, milk, coffee, hot chocolate, chocolate milk, juice, and soft drinks. I have to admit that the range of drinks on offer is quite broad. Despite not having rye bread, the food is very tasty and makes the restaurant worth going to visit, just so you can try one of the dishes on their menu.

A brief description of my favourite food

I have been coming to eat at this restaurant for over five years and I always order the same thing because I just love it! I really recommend ordering the chicken caesar salad, which you can see a photo of below:

This particular salad can be ordered in two different sizes (regular and large), although I recommend ordering the larger one because it only costs a fraction more than the regular, and you can always take your leftovers home with you if you cannot finish it in one sitting. The salad consists of a bed of fresh lettuce, croutons (sometimes they use breadsticks instead), dressing (the tastiest that I have ever tried, but I don't know what it is made of... it seems to be a secret recipe, made of mayonnaise, lemon juice and something else? ) and the most delicious part, chicken. Unlike most caesar salads, the chicken is not just plain chargrilled, but, in fact, has some kind of seasoning that gives a delicious flavour and a burnt or roasted texture. The portion size is very good for the price that they charge of $70 Mexican pesos.

In terms of drinks, I also always order the same thing: a green tea smoothie made with soya milk, which is absolutely delicious. However, on this particular occasion, I ordered an "unstrained" fruit tea, which means that all of the fruit stays in the drink, which I also highly recommend:

And how much does it cost to eat there?

In all honesty, it's not a cheap restaurant, but that's not to say that it's super expensive either: the prices are just right, in my opinion. Every time that I go there to eat, the bill is approximately $120 Mexican pesos (on average) per person, just for food and drinks. Parking at the restaurant is free if you dine there, and they will put a stamp on your parking ticket to validate it, so you don't have to worry about this being an additional cost to bear in mind. With regards to payment options, the restaurant accepts both debit and credit cards, as well as cash.

And the customer service? What is it like?

The customer service, sadly, does leave something to be desired and, ultimately, requires improvement. In months gone by, there was a group of waiters that were quite arrogant and serious, but the last few times that I have been, they have changed the staff and now have a very friendly group of young men who take your order quickly. Another thing that I like about their service is their telephone ordering service, for example. If I am planning to drop by the restaurant after class, I can call in advance to order the food I want, and it is ready waiting for me upon my arrival. This is a great tip for you if you are very hungry but aren't particularly close to the restaurant.

What is the restaurant itself like?

The restaurant has both an open-air and indoor seating area. The open-air part of the restaurant has picnic-style tables and chairs with seat cushions. The area surrounding the restaurant is not particularly noisy, so you can have a nice chat without feeling like you have to shout to be heard.

The indoor part of the restaurant is much bigger than the outdoor part. I like that it has different types of tables and chairs: there are the typical wooden tables with metal or wooden chairs, but you will also find cushioned booths to sit in. There are two bathrooms - one for men and one for women, respectively. The place is very clean and fresh, and they play some nice background music. There isn't one particular style of decor used throughout the restaurant: it's quite modern but, at the same time, rather homely.

The restaurant is very dynamic because it doesn't necessarily have a defined style; they put music of all genres on in the background (in fact, it's the employees who choose what is played), and the tables are varied in shape and size, meaning that you dine alone or host a small event there. The toilets, as well as the restaurant in general, are very clean and always smell nice.

The restaurant's interior decor is found in a state of constant remodelling.

Would I go back there again?

Of course I would, I always go there!
