Old but cool

Outside of Coimbra center there still are things to see and visit.

Just across the Santa Clara bridge, there's this Monastry, that was once covered by the Mondego River.

It was built in the 14th century and disapeared under water in the 16th. Many years later it was found and now it can be visited.

Most of the church remains intact but you can see the damage made by the floods in the walls.

Inside it, there's also a museum that tells the history of the place, how the nuns lived there and how it was flooded.

If you stay more than three days in Coimbra, you should visit this Monastry
