Teatro Académico Gil Vicente

Coimbra is known for its traditional university, but the academic activities are seen in the whole city.

Proof of that is the Gil Vicente Academic Theatre, named after an important Portuguese writer. It's sponsored by the university and it exhibits movies, film festivals, theatre plays, dance presentations and other cultural events for students and others.
