A new recipe

A new week and a new pasta recipe. With only 3 recipes left from this blog i was thinking this week around i will skip the normal pasta schedule and i will cook the chicken Alfredo with fusilli pasta. Usually the classical one is with fetuccini pasta but i said to switch it up for a second and i agree i did have only fusilli and spaghetti in my home. I cooked this recipe yesterday for me and Muhammet and it came out better than i expected, maybe because i have switched up the ingredients.

I am such a pasta lover, probably i cook 2 or 3 times per week and i specialized myself in more than 1 recipe. During this weeks i have been showing you guys how to cook the penne with tuna and heavy cream sauce, the pesto pasta and the shrimp penne. On the following weeks two more recipes will be showcased, the Carbonara pasta and the Basilico tomato sauce pasta. So stay tuned for more!

Alfredo Chicken Fusilli

Ingredients :

  • chicken breast 200gr
  • heavy cream 200ml
  • fusilli pasta
  • sunflower oil
  • garlic, 3 gloves
  • mushrooms
  • salt
  • pepper
  • dried oregano
  • parmesan reggiano or regular cheese

As you may know so far I always use for pasta the number 1 brand in Italy which is Barilla, same case here. As for the chicken breast i cut it into small cubic pieces, and the mushrooms as well. After you have everything chopped then you are ready to start cooking!

Step by step recipe

  • Chop all the ingredients ( chicken, mushrooms and garlic )

  • Bring the pasta to boil according to the package instructions. After the water is boiling add the pasta for about 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Stir and set the pasta aside.

  • Now is time to prepare the sauce. Heat up a pan with little oil. When the oil is hot enough add the chicken and fry it for about 4 minutes until is gold on each side.
  • Add the garlic and sote for a minute or so.
  • Next step is to add the mushrooms and sote all together for 3 minutes.

  • Now is time to add the cream and salt and pepper and little bit of oregano as well. Mix all together and bring to boil until the cream is getting more creamy.
  • Add the cheese as well, in case if the cream is very watery then add more cheese or parmesan to it.
  • Mix well and leave for about 6 minutes.

  • After the sauce looks nice and smells good is time to incorporate the pasta to it. Keep the fire low volume.

  • Mix very good for about a minute or so and then close fire and add more black pepper for better taste. Optional you can add chopped parsley as well and parmesan on top.

Now the fusilli Alfredo is ready to be served. Enjoy this dish with a friend or your loved one.

No red bull this time around but pasta does not go good without Coke zero that's for sure.
