Carrots with mayonnaise
This is a really simple recipe and, at the same time, full of vitamins and it's healthy. So, if you want to eat healthy you can enjoy this meal. My brother loves it very much and so it's been made pretty often in our home. And the ingredients are not many and you don't have to carry all those bags full of ingredients for just one meal as it happens often when you want to prepare something for a family or even for yourself.
Ingredients:
- 3 large carrots
- 40 grams fennel
- 20 grams parsley (optional)
- 1 middle-sized mayonnaise
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Now, as for the carrots, they don't need any cooking or whatsoever, they just need to be raw and fresh and good. You can choose the ones you will like when you look at them, so choosing the right carrots is not something you can't do right and it's not that difficult. And buying some herbs isn't very hard either. So, go ahead and buy those things on your own. Buying them is fun too.
When you've bought all the ingredients, you just have to mix them together, if you want to know the truth.
Preparing process
First of all, you should wash the carrots, as they really need washing _ who knows where they were thrown and put and stuff like that. You should wash everything thoroughly, because there are so many microorganisms everywhere that could get you some disease and you could even die with that disease. There was this woman in the hospital some months ago. She just didn't wash the herbs well enough and turned out there were some pretty bad bacteries and they just got into her digestive system, of course, and caused this disease and she suffered from it for months and then she got better, but then she died. You know, there is this phase when you get better and it's really a bad sign, because that's when you know that you won't survive.
Anyways, after washing all the ingredients thoroughly, I usually get a good look on the carrots in order to see if they have any abnormalities or things like that. You know there are carrots sold both all cleaned up and studf, and carrots with some pieces of mud and stuff.
Then you should just grate those carrots and that's very easy with all those blenders and graters and stuff. And that's it, the carrots are done.
Now the other things. First of all, you should chop the herbs. You will chop them into small pieces or whatever you like and just add them to the carrots. Well, the fennel is necessary, as it makes the dish taste really good and it has some kind of a special taste. And you can also add some parsley, too, if you like. it will give the dish a better look and it will look more wonderful and tasty.
Then, you will add some black pepper and salt and the mayonnaise. Or you can just mix all those things thoroughly until adding the mayonnaise and then you add the mayonnaise and mix again. If your mayonnaise is a little bit dry, you can first kind of dissolve it in some water and then add it to the carrots.
People like to add some garlic to the dish, too. But I don't really fancy that, because then you have this bad smell from you're mouth after eating the dish. They also add some other spices like thyme and coriander and stuff, and, well, you can add them if you like many different spices in your dish. with all those spices added, you can't really taste the carrots, so, don't get all crazy and season the dish with all the different spices!
