l'Umbracle

Science centre and botanic garden by day, club by night.

By day this is the main sight to see in Valencia. It is formed by a few giant white, modern structures that look very arty and statue-esque, with a few pools in between them. The botanic gardens are really pretty, and offer a great view over the nearby park. During the day you can go kanoeing or in plastic bubbles in the pools, and into the science centre (although we didn't go inside).

By night, the club and dance area is literally in the botanic greenehouse with a nice outside area with a view over the pools and the gardens. It makes for a really surreal experience to be clubbing, dancing and drinking in a giant greenehouse. It is very open and there are lots of chill smoking areas and spaces to go and chat, as well as the dance area and another more 'underground' dance room downstairs next to the toilets. 

This is a must-see if you are in Valencia and looking to party. The drinks are quite expensive at around 8 euros for one vodka coke, but it is worth it for a one off and just for the experience.
