Records everywhere!
The introduction
Hello everyone, I hope that you are all doing just fine!
In this article I want to tell you about this records shop, which I visited in Copenhagen while I was there. It was full of different records and CDs and things like that. It was not a very large place, however, they had so many records that you could be there all day choosing which ones you wanted to buy.
This is called Mint Records shop and it’s a place where you can see so many records that it’s just impossible to look at all of them in just one visit. I didn’t really think that it would be such a large place with all those different records, which are plenty there.
Well, to be honest, I hadn’t really been to any place with records anywhere, because it’s not like we have such records shops in Tbilisi or whatever. It’s just mixed stores here, I guess, or maybe I don’t know any place where these kind of records shops are located. Well, anyways, it was my first visit to such records shop, where there were many, many records and CDs and cassettes and things like that and I was just confused what to look for and where to look for anything of my interest.
About Mint Records shop
Well, this Mint Records shop is located on Gammel Kongevej 140 A, Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. It’s a pretty large place and you will definitely notice it if you walk on that street, because it’s just impossible not to notice this large place full of records, which has its sign on the wall in the entrance saying “Mint Records” on it.
The working hours of Mint Records are from 10 a. m. till 8 p. m. on working days and on Saturday they work until 5 p. m. and on Sunday they start on 12 p. m. and close at 6 p. m. So that, it is a pretty good place for buying some things when you have work till late, because the shop closes on 8 p. m., which gives you some time to get there and have something bought on working days after your working hours, because usually people don’t really work on late evenings in Denmark, I guess, however, it all depends on the type of work, of course.
Well, anyways, this shop is located in Frederiksberg, which is a very nice place in the city of Copenhagen and it’s a little bit south from the city center, if you ask me. This Gammel Kongevej is one of the very popular streets there, because there are many shops located and one of them is this records shop, of course.
To be honest, this is not just a records shop, but you can buy and sell and swop some records and singles and CDs and games and music magazines, too.
There is every genre of music in the records shop and so that, they have a large selection of all kinds of music there. They have more than 10, 000 CDs and vinyls and about 3000 films and 500 games there. You can also see the music magazines, which can be old or new and some pretty popular ones, of course.
There’s a basement underneath the store and they have things on sale there, where the prices drop each week.
You can swop the records or whatever you have with some others or you can sell them to the people working in the shop, however, you must be above 18 years old to sell the records to them, of course.
Well, it’s a pretty good thing to have that offer to the customers, because there are some people who have lots of records or CDs or magazines of music, which they no longer need and they don’t really know what to do with them, so that they can just take them to this shop and get some cash in those things, or they can just swop them and get something else, if you want to know the truth.
So that, if you are a music lover and you want to visit such shop in Copenhagen, you can go to Gammel Kongevej and pay a visit to this great Mint records shop and have a look at it. Maybe, there is something that you would like to get. However, I must warn you that the records aren't cheap and, in my mind, they are pretty much expensive, though I don’t really know the prices for such records anywhere else.
Well, anyways, you should know that such things exist in Copenhagen and if you are visiting it, you can go to such places and check them out. There’s not just that Mint Records shop there in Copenhagen and you can find some others, too, in the city center or in its suburbs. You just have to know where exactly they are and you can then go and have a look at them. Personally I saw this Mint records shop, because it was on my way and I kind of noticed it and went in there just to look around and see the prices and see the collections that they had it there, and, to tell you the truth, I was going to buy one vinyl, because we have that vinyl player at home, which pretty much works very well and we could play that music too, however, the records were pretty expensive and I didn’t really want to spend so much money on just one record, if you want to know the truth.
So that, if you love music and want to buy some things in Copenhagen, you can also visit this Mint Records shopand shop there for some goods, however, you should know, that the prices won’t be cheap.
