Traditional Moldavian cheese pie "Placinte"

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of Moldavian cow cheese, or ricotta;
  • 250 ml kefir/yoghurt/skim milk;
  • One teaspoon of bicarbonate;
  • Two teaspoons of salt;
  • 250 g of flour;
  • 200 ml oil;
  • One egg;
  • Three spoons of green onion;
  • Three spoons of dill.

Poor in one bowl: kefir, one teaspoon of salt and bicarbonate, mix them and leave on for 10 minutes.

Then add flour and knead the dough until it is uniform and soft.

Split the dough into many parts and oil each of them. The balls need to rest for 30 minutes.

In a bowl mix the Moldavian cow cheese with three spoons of dill, three spoons of green onion, one egg and one teaspoon of salt.

After the dough rests, take a ball and flatten it till it has in diameter about 10 cm. Add one spoon of filling and bring the edges of the dough ball in the middle.

Fry the pies in a large pan with boiling oil.

Savour the pies. Yummy!
