Everything started last summer when my friend Sophie called me and asked me to go on vacation with her and our friends Fani and Eleutheria for a couple of days. Sophia told me that she was not that much into free camping but our friend Fani which is nature lover had convinced her previously so she was interested in this new life changing experience. I immediately said yes and Fani who knew exactly what we were going to need, organized us with one of her famous lists and we went the same day for shopping and bought all the necessary stuff for camping (tents, sleeping bag, suncream, sun umbrellas, dry food, a backpack, bottles of water, flash lights) and we were ready to start our adventure.

We have called our friend Stelio if he was able to come with us and drive us to Tristinika which is in Toroni, Sithonia, which is the south central part of Chalkidiki peninsula (according to mythology Toroni was wife to Proteus, son of Poseidon and was founded by Chalkidian settlers probably during the 8thcentury BC). When our friend Stelios decided that he was able to come with us and drive us there we have started preparing our backpacks with clothes, swimsuits, towels and all the stuff that we have bought. Next day early in the morning we started driving to Tristinika with some cold coffee on our hands and our best smiles on our faces. The route for Tristinika was extremely funny and around noon we stopped in Nikiti to have lunch and we ate Greek gyros at a local restaurant. After we have finished with our lunch we continued our route to Tristinika. After one hour we were finally there. It was a really amazing place that reminded me kind of Hawaii from pictures that I have seen.

We were all amazed by the beauty of this location, so we were staring in awe. Afer five minutes we have put all of our stuff out of the car and placed it on the sand. Eleutheria started building her own tent so she inspired us to do so. After we have finished up with our tents we run into the sea and started splashing each other.

After that we went to Ethnik beach bar and enjoyed really cold coffee. Meanwhile our friend Fani was diving with her spear gun. After about an hour she came back to us with a big octopus and three fish and ordered us to get ready and light fire. Our friends Stelios and Eleutheria went to find some woods so we could light a fire and cook the octopus and get warm because it was getting late and we have started freezing (because our tents were right in front of the sea). We have started cooking the octopus and we could already feel that it was going to be delicious at the same time our friend Eleutheria was gutting the fish. After our meal we sat around the fire and our friend Stelios started playing the guitar (he is a really talented guy and a great musician) and with the amazing sky full of stars his smooth voice made everything perfect. Thereafter Sophie (which is half American and loves marshmallows) she had a little surprise for us and put out of her bag a plastic bag full of marshmallows and Eleuteria went to collect some thin wood sticks and sharpened them with her Swiss army knife. Sophie started telling us scary stories and it was really beautiful.
