First Direct Arena

The First Direct Arena is a big entertainment arena in the city centre of Leeds which hosts music concerts, comedy shows and sporting events, to name a few. Many famous artists have played there, such as Dolly Parton, Elton John and Miley Cyrus.

You are able to look at what they’ve got on in the upcoming weeks and buy tickets by visiting the First Direct Arena Website.

The o2 Academy

The o2 Academy is a Grade II listed building in Leeds city centre which hosts club nights, concerts and more! It is one of the reasons that Leeds is known for its great music scene, having hosted artists such as The Kaiser Chiefs, The Stone Roses and Hot Chip.

Its club nights are also very popular with students, in particular one called ‘Projekt’ on Saturday evenings, which has a Main Stage with a DJ and an underground RnB and hip hop room, as well as confetti cannons! Tickets are around £5 so it is an affordable night out.

Headrow House

Headrow House is a very unique venue seeing as it is housed in a former textile mill. It is a four floor venue which contains an award-winning restaurant The Ox Club, a beer hall, two roof terraces and a small live event place.

It holds lots of reasonably priced performances by small to medium-sized artists, so you are able to see up-and-coming singers perform in an intimate venue, who might be worldwide stars in a few years time… so it is a must-visit place for music fanatics!

Brudenell Social Club

This is a vibrant music venue which has an open-door policy, meaning that you can find almost any kind of gig here. The club is famous for hosting secret gigs for very famous bands such as Franz Ferdinand and the Kaiser Chiefs, however, it holds gigs most nights featuring a large variety of small to medium-sized talent.

If you are not a gig fan, they also have a huge Games Room with 5 pool tables, darts, table football and BT Sport on the TV, maintaining its roots as a working-man's social club.

If that wasn’t enough, they also serve Pieminster pies hot at the bar from 12pm-9pm, 7 days a week… this place really does have everything!
