The Emmerdale Studio Experience

Emmerdale is a British soap set in the fictional village of Emmerdale in the Yorkshire Dales. It is a soap filled with drama that every Brit would have watched at least once, seeing as the first episode was broadcast in 1972!

The Emmerdale Studio Experience gives you the chance to wander round the studios where the show is filmed and see all of the places that you see on telly in real life! Alternatively, you can take an outside walking tour to see the village up close.

As of 2020, it costs £32.50 for adults for the 2-hour studio tour and £35 for the village tour. If you want to find out more or even get your tickets in advance, check out their website.

Leeds Christkindelmart

Where: Millenium Square, Leeds

Who says you have to travel all the way to Germany to find a decent Christmas Market? We have our very own right here in the heart of Leeds, with everything you could wish for: the typical wooden stalls selling artisan gifts, German Bratwurst sausages and fairground rides!

It usually takes place from the beginning of November to the middle of December.

Bongo’s Bingo

Bongo’s Bingo is no ordinary game of Bingo. Forget your old ladies with their markers at 6pm on a Saturday, for this is a crazy and fun-filled night where sanity goes out the window.

It consists of several rounds of bingo with a range of prizes up for grabs, such as coco pops to a giant fluffy unicorn to a big cash prize! However, it is fit with club music, crazy challenges and rave intervals so finding your number 2 seconds after dancing on the table is harder than it looks!

Visit Roundhay Park

Bet you didn’t know the biggest park in Europe was hidden away in Leeds, did you? It spans 70 acres, has big field spaces and beautiful gardens and some giant lakes. It even has a sensory garden for the blind.

However, this isn’t any ordinary park as it also transforms into a big event space. For example, in 2019 Ed Sheeran held a concert there!

Everyman Cinema

Where: Upper Level of Trinity Leeds

Everyman Cinema is certainly not any old cinema. If you fancy watching your film on a sofa, putting your feet up on the dedicated foot and waiter service at your seat, this is the place for you.

Showing a range of films from broadcast, independent films and the newest blockbusters, Everyman cinema also has a great menu at its disposal: why limit yourself to popcorn when you can have garlic bread and a glass of prosecco?

Once again, don’t be put off by this impression of luxury because this is accessible to students too. Use your Totem Card to receive off-peak Student Discount from Monday to Thursday and before 5pm on Fridays to get your ticket for £8.75!
