The Food Lover's Market is the perfect place to get a freshly prepared meal for a reasonable price. You just walk around, decide what you want and pay at the counter. Some foods have fixed prices, but the salad bar or the hot meal and breakfast buffet are for paid according to their weight. So if you want to mix lasagna, chicken enchiladas and grilled veggies; that's no problem. Just fill your take away box and pay for the amount of food your taking.
Apart from its bakery, its fruit, pizza and burger corners, the place also has a Sushi restaurant. The sushi swirls around on conveyor belt, but that is not even the best part. They offer a sushi special where after 3PM you pay only half the price, the only condition is that you eat in.
The place provides an eating area where you can just sit down and enjoy your meal. But if the weather is nice, why not take it to the lovely company gardens? It's only a small 5 minutes away, since the market is situated on the corner of the St. Georges Mall and Green Market Square.
They also have a part where they sell unprepared food like veggies, fruit, cheese and charcuterie. So if you still need groceries, why not buy them while you’re there?
Don't know what to order?
No worries, since all the food is really good you will love it anyway. I personally love some lasagna or soup on colder days, but when the sun is out I'm in for the butternut and feta salads with a little (or a lot!) guacamole on the side.
Want to try a new snack, go to the tubes on the wall and get yourself some yoghurt covered sunflower seeds. I'm really munching those things down.
