Lovely beach braai
Just a few miles away from Camps Bay and the Clifton beaches, you can find this small relatively untouched piece of nature, called Oudekraal. The Oudekraal beach is part of the Table Mountain National Park area. You'll have to pay a small entrance fee to (ZAR 35) to enter, but it is definitely worth it. The beach is quite hidden, so it won't be packed with tourists and the view is just amazing.
The place offers several small braai (a. k. a BBQ) facilities, a grass ground picknick area, outdoor showers and restrooms. Ideal for a fun day out with friends or a romantic day with your loved one. Bring your own drinks and have a meat fest. Go for a swim if you like or just climb up one of the boulders and pose in front of the twelve apostles. After watching the sunset, you can just go to Camps Bay to hit the bar as the beach closes at 6 PM.
The place is surveilled by security guards, so you won't have to worry about your car and going for a swim, while leaving you belongings on the beach won't be any problem. Just make sure you take all your garbage with you after your stay, as this is still a national park and we all like a clean beaches.
