  • Viet Phu Thanh Chuong - A day trip with my girl friend

Last year, I and my girlfriend, we have decided to visit a place called Viet Phu Thanh Chuong which is a private complex of a top-famous artist in Vietnam – Thanh Chuong. Well, I think that most interesting thing about this complex is that the artist has tried his best to make the complex kind of his collection of traditional Vietnam. As I have to say that many of Vietnam monuments especially buildings or ancients stuff made from woods have been forgotten.

Yes, in the past, most of the houses and buildings were made from woods, but as the modern lifestyle, they have been gradually replaced from the modern city. So the great thing about this complex is the artist’s desire to save these monuments while the government seems to be useless and incompetent in saving the heritage of Vietnam people.

  • About the artist! - an millionaire

Thanh Chuong is a rare Vietnamese artist earning millions of dollars by selling  his paintings and then he pours himself into the installation of a giant art installation named Viet Phuc Thanh Chuong.

As he always said this is the work of art to make him the most suffering, most expensive, most of the time, the longest.  Moreover, after nearly 10 years of existence, the reputation of Viet Thanh . Mr Thanh recently warmed public opinion when it was named as one of the impressive destinations of the new cultural tour of the capital, is the first works of an individual who responds to the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi.

The idea of implementing a pure Vietnamese culture space, a living museum created according to a new concept, full of creativity of artist Thanh Chuong derived from the passion of traditional beauty, from the disappointment to witness the unprecedented loss of precious antiques and aspirations of re-enacting and preserving Vietnamese spirit in a space of culture, art, life and spirituality of the Vietnamese.

So let’s see my experience of visiting this complex – Viet Phu Thanh Chuong.

  • How to go to Viet Thanh Thanh? How to go to Viet Thanh Thanh Chuong

Firstly I came here by motorbike, it is located far from Hien Linh, Soc Son district, about 40km from the center of Hanoi, so I found the movement was simple and easy, fast. To travel Viet Phu Thanh Thanh you can choose a variety of vehicles such as: Motorbike, family car, bus, public bus ...

However, for those students who want to save on cheap costs, I recommend taking the bus, because the movement is quite simple, safe and cheap bus fare. Or if you want to go to Viet Thanh Thanh, you can go by motorbike or car. The private bus is only suitable for groups in the east and far away from Hanoi.

  • Here I will show you how to go by motorcycle:

From the departure point, I follow the direction of Thang Long - Noi Bai highways -> go through the checkpoint, then at a crossroad, I turn left on Highway 2 -> then I go about 1km will meet At the first fork, I continue to go straight on Highway 2 and not turn into Noi Bai industrial area where the first -> continue to go about 1km more will see the second fork, then I turn right. Signboard (Road 35, golf course Hanoi, Viet Phu Thanh Chapter 7km) ->

Then I went straight at the sign to arrive.

  • Guide to go to Viet Phu Thanh chapter by bus: You find the point to catch bus 07 and go in the direction of Phu Lo - Noi Bai - National Highway 2 intersection, get off and here you drive motorbike go to Viet Thanh Thanh (About 9km).
  • Or, you can also travel to Viet Phuc Thanh Chuong by bus 56 also, will be closer to that one. You take bus 56 to Noi Bai Industrial Park then get off -> then xe xe about 3km to Viet Phu Thanh Thanh.

What is the price of tickets to Viet Thanh Thanh Chuong? Ticket price

  • What is interesting about Viet Phu Tourism?

I must admit that Viet Phu Thanh Chuong is a famous tourist destination in Hanoi. There are a lot of people who think this is a long-standing historical relic, but the reality is that Viet PHu Thang Chuong is a visiting site created by Cheng Qin artist in 2011.

  • The entrace of Viet Phu Thanh Chuong with two elephants on two sides

At first I came with my girlfriend, at the entrance I felt like a picture of nature with bold image of peaceful countryside, tranquility of midland of North Vietnam with wells in veo, swimming pools swimming ... Besides, there are also benches to sit down.

Then we went deep inside, into me was impressed by the unique architecture, wonderful houses with many shapes, many different styles, from the Muong ethnic floor houses up to the three-room house structure of the Tonkin Plains.

I was attracted by a large waterfall. It is a 5-story high waterfall day and night with murmuring sounds of love songs throughout the year, light drops of water splashing nearby trees reflecting in the sunshine, adding shimmer, softness.

  • Buddhism Stupa
  • Then we went to the ground to worship the magnificent outdoor Buddhist temple that was built on a high ground with two rock paths leading up. It is a Thien Huong stupa that is very clear that solidly express the spirituality of the Vietnamese. It is a sign of the beauty of the combination of architecture, spirituality and art in Vietnam.

Next we come to visit the house of the artist. As I have said this was the private accommodation of the artist family before he decided to make it public and open for tourists as a living museums. We just unconsciously go inside to see his working table.

There are many books about art and painting that he have spent time collecting in this bookself. As the view seems to be so artistic, I asked my girlfriend to sit on his table and take some beautiful photos.

Then, we go out to the balcony which is made in the traditional Vietnamese style.

I and my girlfriend !

  • Vietnam Traditional Garden
  • Next, we go out to the garden, the garden is beautiful, there are many flowers and trees that the artist has planted in the garden, however, there is one thing that I do not like about this garden that there are many mosquitos in the garden.

Then we went around and took pictures. In general, I found the architecture very "concentrated", close together. The whole place is focused on every detail, though very small. Curved roofs to decorate indoors, tables and chairs, ...

The paths are compact, the trees are pretty much here and there in every corner. People continue to improve this place. Between the silence of space, sometimes the hands and then the sound of the plow.

The scenery is arranged along the path, the plants shade the two sides, the appearance of the statues both classical and modern space full of vitality.

The chairs are available everywhere for visitors to sit and watch. I always have a sense of memory with every roof seen here.

Every detail is shown very delicate, thorough. Many sculptural statues of the country scene, very close and familiar.

This is the broadest courtyard of the government. The whole architecture is on the side of the mountain so the works do the trick. There are steps up stairs, the corners on both sides and alternating paths, lying in the middle of the gap.

  • Viewed from above, covered like a village, mossy old and familiar.

My girlfriend loves writer Kim Lan. And it is great that Thanh Chuong here has built this memorial for Kim Lan writer in Vietnam. ( Thang Chuong painter is the son of Kim Lan writer, one of the famous writer in Viẹtnam)

As a well-written short story writer, he wrote about life and people in the countryside with the sentiments of the soul of a person who was the biological child of the main field. Like me have hard feelings.

  • Kim Lan writer memorial sites - one of the best vietnamese writers
  • Unlike ordinary memorial sites, there are no relics written by Kim Lan in the space of Thanh Chuong, all expressed through the language of installation. As the eldest son, after arguing with six siblings, did not keep the things he used in his lifetime. What is your biggest complaint is: "To the small house at No. 6 Ha Hoi, where he lived there from 1958 until his death (2007), our brothers did not retain it as a place to worship his father. , as your wishes. "

There is also a traditional Vietnamese theater in the complex with 2 red chairs.

There are a lot of great works here, although they are a bit different, but I feel attached to life, the familiar life of the Vietnamese. It evokes the visitors, especially the Vietnamese, a gentle emotion, relaxed as the soul to the countryside quiet...

  • Hundreds of vases and pots

Another rich and interesting feature that I like is that in Viet Phu Thanh Chuong, I also encounter hundreds of vases and pots of different pottery, collected by collectors from all over the country and arranged into collections. It is extremely valuable, giving the viewer a very good overview of the development of the pottery industry and the perception and feelings of the Vietnamese in each object.

Then the ancient stone statues, ancient wells, Cham gates, semicircles, earthen gates, brick gates ... are reproduced seamlessly and deeply in a perfect Vietnamese space.

Here, the owner of Viet Thanh Thanh Chuong also let us enjoy the special paintings he has dedicated his life to create, such as "self portraits", "Early Winter" , "Summer afternoon" ...

  •  Saying Goodbye to Viet Phu Thanh Chuong

After leaving this place, I still think this is the best place of preserving traditional Vietnam in all Vietnam, which I highly recommended people who love Vietnam to come and visit and to experience the traditional values of my country.

I came to see, to contemplate, to learn and come to feel part of the essence, cultural values of Vietnamese mark.

In the Vietnamese space, I felt the Vietnamese cultural breath and the ancient beauty of Vietnam. Every detail in Thanh Chuong Viet is a symbol of culture and it is also a message worth cherishing of Thanh Chuong about the preservation of national identity in a modern life.

He showed us in the traditional houses of the Vietnamese people still meet the needs of human activities in the 21st century civilization. That is the way that Thanh Chuong paint the traditional Vietnamese style with calmness, simplicity and depth of soul harmonizing in modern life in a lively, smooth and graceful way.

"There is a path that leads us to the shelter of the Vietnamese soul. That is the way to Viet Phu Thanh Thanh. "If you have the opportunity, I hope you can come here to enjoy, admire the scenery" Place of Vietnamese soul "

I also wished that in Vietnam later there will be many other works  to keep the cultural values of the Vietnamese as Viet Phu Thanh Chuong
