Pelmeni recipes part 2

Pelmeni in a pot with livers and potatoes

Well, this is a pretty strange dish for me and it kind of tastes strange, too, because we don’t usually have that dish, we just have pelmeni with sour cream or simply with some black pepper and that’s it. However, this one is a pretty wonderful dish, too, especially if you want to amaze your guests.

Ingredients:

  • Pelmeni 500 grams
  • Chicken livers 250 grams
  • Onion, 1 medium
  • Tomato sauce/paste 1 tablespoon
  • Sour cream 50 grams
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
  • Beef stock 200 grams
  • Potatoes, 3 medium
  • Garlic
  • Herbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Preparation process

Well, you should cook pelmeni into a boiling water with salt for about 3 minutes, when it’s in its half-cooked state, I mean, pelmeni shouldn’t be cooked, but it should be undercooked.  You should also add a bay leaf to it in the water.

You should cut the livers into smaller pieces and you should cook them in butter on a frying pan. You should also add some chopped onion and cook them together until they are ready. Then you should pour them some beef stock (which you should have already prepared, but if you don’t have it prepared, I mean, if you don’t have meat to cook so that you can have some beef stock, that’s okay, you can just add some water or have those things dissolved in some water that kind of resembles beef stock, you know, those small packs of different types of things, that make water be like some stock. They cost somewhere about 10 tetris, I guess).

Then, you can mix tomato sauce and sour cream. In a separate bowl, you can get some stock and add 1 tablespoon of flour to it and whisk it and then add it to the sour cream and tomato sauce mixture. Then you should boil that mixture and set it aside when it boils. You can then add some squashed garlic and chopped herbs. Maybe you can have some parsley or celery, I don’t know, you can choose them, or even skip that part. However, herbs give the dish some great taste and you should have some in your dish, if you ask me.

Well, you should then peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes or something like that and put them into pots. You should put pelmeni on them after that and pour the prepared sauce on them. Then you should put the lids on those pots and put them into the oven for 15 minutes. And then the dish is ready and you can serve them to your guests!

Pelmeni in a pot with tomato sauce

You know how tomato sauce makes everything very tasty and stuff like that, so that this one is just amazingly delicious, if you ask me.

Ingredients:

  • Pelmeni, 300-400 trams
  • Onions, 1 medium
  • Carrots, 1 medium
  • Stock or water, 100 ml
  • Oil , 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato sauce/paste, 1-2 tablespoons
  • Bay leaf
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste (optional)

Preparation process

Well, the preparation process is kind of the same. I mean, you should boil some water and add the salt to it and cook the pelmeni for about 3 minutes, so that it won’t get all cooked and stuff like that, you know.

Then, you should put them into pots.

You should also chop the onion and cook those pieces into an oiled pan until they get golden in colour.

In the meantime, you should shred the carrot and add it to the onions in the frying pan and cook them together. You should also add some salt to it.

After that, you should add that carrot mixture to the pots and add the tomato sauce and stock or water, bay leaf, ground black pepper and some salt. Then you should put the lids on the pots and put them into the oven for 25 minutes and cook. After that the dish is ready and you can enjoy it!

Pelmeni in a pot with cheese

You know, cheese is always great on everything and I just love it in my dishes, however, it’s not always that easy to have it in my dishes, because I usually eat cheese alone and I’m just this lazy to put them into the dishes while preparing them.

Ingredients:

  • Pelmeni , 10-14 pieces
  • Shredded cheese, 200 grams
  • Onions, 2 medium
  • Sour cream, 4 tablespoons
  • Stock or water 1 or 1 and  a half cup
  • Oil for cooking

Preparation process

Well, the preparation process is pretty simple. You should cook pelmeni in an oiled frying pan until they get that golden colour.

You should have those kinds of onions, which you can easily slice like rings and then you should add them to those pelmeni in a frying pan and cook them together.

After that, you can put those pelmeni into pots and pour the stock or water to them and add sour cream to them and add the cheese and put them into the oven on 180-200 degrees Celsius for about 20-30 minutes and the dish is ready and then you can serve them like that. Or you can chop some herbs and sprinkle them on top of the dish and serve it like that.

Pelmeni with milk in a pot

So, you know, how milk makes things taste great and this dish tastes great, too.

Ingredients:

  • Pelmeni, 1 kilogramme
  • Eggs, 3 medium
  • Milk, 1 cup
  • Butter , 5 tablespoons
  • Sour cream, 1 cup
  • Some fresh herbs

Preparation process

First of all, you should grease pots with butter or oil and put 10-15 pelmeni into each pot.

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, add the milk and mix them together. Then you should pour this mixture into the pots and top them with the sour cream. Then you should put the lids on each pot and put them into the oven for about 25 minutes. After that, the dish is ready and you can serve them with some chopped herbs on them, which makes the dishes look very beautiful and tasty, if you ask me.
