Peanut butter cups recipe
The introduction
Hello everyone, hope you’re having a great day and I hope you were looking forward to reading my recipe for the peanut butter cups. I must say, that until I started preparing those peanut butter cups, or preparing for preparing them, I looked up so many peanut butter cup recipes and practically surfed the Internet to find the right peanut butter cups’ recipe for me, but still, when I read some of them and liked them, I modified those recipes to make something different and adjusted to my taste and abilities. So, you won’t find this recipe anywhere else, I guess, because I just created something and I don’t really know whether you’ll like it or not, but people here (and I, myself) say, that it is pretty delicious. So, here we go and you’ll see that I’m not lying.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ to 1 cup of confectioners’ sugar
- 4 tsp butter, unsalted, softened (or margarine)
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 cups (15 ounces) chocolate buttons
- Cocoa powder (optional)
- Chocolate butter (optional)
- Vanilla (optional)
- Coloured sptinkles and other decorations (optional)
Preparation process
First of all, you will need some saucepans or heatproof bowls, because you need to melt your chocolate in a bowl that should be on another bowl, where there is a boiling water. So, you melt your chocolate on a heat.
So, I put some chocolate buttons in this bowl that was placed above and stirred a little, when the chocolate started melting, I added some butter to it. Well, actually I added some margarine, but it doesn’t really matter, because nowadays margarine and butter are practically the same. I also added some cocoa powder just to get its taste to the chocolate, occasionally stirring.
When everything was melted well, I turned the gas off and let the melted chocolate cool a little bit.
Now that I had those silicon muffin forms, I just poured this chocolate into them. I had this spoon (it measures a tablespoon) and I just used to take that spoon full of melted chocolate and pour that thing in this silicon form and so on. And, you know, the forms shouldn’t be filled, otherwise you won’t be able to get your peanut butter in that form. So then what I did was that I took those silicon forms filled with melted chocolate and put them into the freezer. Or you can just put them into your refrigerator, they will still get solid, it doesn’t really matter, but of course, putting them into the freezer will get them solid in a less time.
Now it was time to prepare some filling. I mean, peanut butter. What, did you think you could just put that peanut butter into the chocolate and that would be it? I’m sorry, but that’s not the case here. Well, of course, that’s a possibility, too, you can do whatever you want, but that’s not how I did it, so I will tell you the details of my method.
So I took this creamy peanut butter, added some confectioners’ sugar and vanilla to it, a little butter and let it melt just the way I melted the chocolates. I also tasted it to see if it was tasty or not and if it had enough sugar or I wanted to add some more and things like that. I always do that _ I taste stuff until I decide that they are good, and I think you should do that, too, because otherwise how should you know whether it is going to be good or not? I mean, sometimes I buy sugar and it’s sweet, sometimes it’s less sweet and you can not definitely know when it’s going to be really sweet and when it’s not!
After melting this creamy peanut butter, I took my chocolate silicone forms out of the freezer and set them on the table. Then I added those spoonful peanut butters to them and then it was time for another layer of chocolate!
I melted another chocolate buttonsjust the way I did it last time and let it cool down a little and poured it on the fillings that were in my silicon forms.
Now it was time for the decorations! That was the best part, because it’s always great when you decorate some things. I put snowflakes on some of them, and sprinkled those coloured sprinkles on some and so on and so forth and I was pretty excited to taste them. But till then, it was time to put them in a freezer again to make them all solid and stuff like that. So I put them there and waited until they were ready to be eaten.
My friends really loved those peanut butter cups and they were surprised that they were so beautiful ant stuff, too. Those people who love chocolate and want to taste something different and really delicious and healthier than the actual chocolate bars, should really make this peanut butter cups and eat them. They should be more popular, if you ask me, everyone should know that those are better to eat than those other chocolate bars and stuff like that. Because peanut butter has many things in it, which are good for your body and metabolism and other. Peanuts are good for your brain,too. So, eating some peanuts every day will help your brain function better.
