Pan kebab

In Persian we call this “kebab Tabei” or basically the pan kebab. The pan kebab is one of my favorite foods, I have even made some changes to the original passed down recipe from my mom and it has made it even better. It’s just too good specially when you’re a fan of minced beef. You can eat it with rice or just have it with some bread. Let’s see the ingredients and the procedure together. Don’t worry it’s super easy and worth it.

Ingredients:

  • Minced beef : 600 grams
  • Onion: 1 large or two medium ones
  • 1 pepper
  • Salt, pepper and tumeric
  • A little thyme or oregano

Procedure:

Grate your onion and then grate the pepper. Add these to the minced meat and carefully mix it together, I prefer to do this with hand because it’ll make sure there is minced onion in between all the beef. You don’t have to add the green pepper if you don’t want to, I just like the smell it gives. Now add the salt, pepper, tumeric and oregano and massage the beef again. Carefully oil your pan. Now make the meat into one or six pieces and put them into the oil. Let it fry and then put the lid of the pan and let it slowly cook. In the end you can add some tomatoes to the cooked meat and serve it.

It’s amazing. Enjoy it.
