The introduction

Hello people, this is another article about some recipes , that I want to share with you and it’s like one of the best breakfasts, that I’ve tried, I guess. Well , if not breakfasts, let that be a meal or something like that, because it’s  a really tasty and nourishing meal in a way and if you have it at breakfast, it really fills you up and you have this feeling of being kind of full and you just don’t want to eat anything else right then or for quite some time, if you ask me. So, this thing is called an omelet, I guess, because it’s made of eggs and some other things, and, while I know , that the omelets can be prepared in different ways, I call it an omelet, too, however, you can call it whatever you want, of course, because it’s not a rocket science and anyone could prepare it and have it as a meal.

Well, to tell you the truth, I’ve prepared this thing in some different ways, too, and then I’m going to tell you about this recipe and it was prepared by my friend some time ago when I visited her. It was a spontaneous decision and she just made that recipe upand it was pretty good, I can say, so that it was an omelet, too, made with eggs and some other things, so that it’s like a continuation of my omelet recipes, so that, get ready and read my recipes, which will be a perfect easy ones for you to prepare and very cheap, too.

Omelet

Let’s star with a simple, nice omelet, which, I guess, everyone knows about and everyone has eaten and seen how it’s made and stuff like that. However, I will still tell you about it.

Well, first of all, we need something like 2-4 eggs, it all depends on how many serves you want to have. I usually have 3 or 4 eggs for the omelet to be soft and fluffy and, besides, someone may also want some omelet, so that I consider people around me and I prepare omelet with those amount of eggs. Of course, I crack the eggs and season them with salt and I have this kind of method, that includes sprinkling salt on the egg yolks and that’s how I know that the salt is enough. Well, I don’t know, it’s my method of deciding how much salt to sprinkle on those eggs to be enough and not salty or something like that. Then I whisk the eggs and pour some milk in the mixture or sour-cream or Matsoni for the omelet to be even more delicious and soft, but if you don’t want that, you can skip that part, because the omelet can be pretty delicious and soft without all those things, too, if you just prepare it wisely. You know, I just love eating my aunt’s prepared omelet, because she just makes it moist and soft and tasty and I have tried many times to prepare omelet like that, however, I still can’t do it that way that she prepares it. that’s kind of my challenge, I guess.

So, then I pour this thing into a frying pan and cook it for a couple of minutes, you might as well want to put a lid on it for some time and when it’s perfectly golden or maybe even yellow, you can turn the gas off and have it that way. I think, it’s better if it’s more yellowish , than the golden-brownish, because that way it is still moist and very tasty. That’s the one that my aunt prepares and it is really good and I don’t really know how to prepare the exact one, however, I’m trying to learn preparing it and well, I hope, that one day I will prepare the exact one, too.

Omelet with bread pieces

So, the other day I went and bought this rectangular shaped baking tray, which just cost me 4.50 Laris and I was very satisfied with my purchase, however, I still had to check it out and see, whether it was really heatproof or not, so that I had to prepare something in it, right?! Well, I didn’t want to prepare something big, I mean, a cake or bread or whatever, because the tray was not very small and it would need some real stuff to prepare something like that. Well, I thought about some things and then I thought, that I would prepare some eggs. It was pretty easy, I just had to break those eggs and whisk them and pour them into the tray. And that’s what I did. I took two eggs and beat them and whisk them with some salt and some milk. Of course, the milk wasn’t much, I mean, I just poured one tablespoon of milk, I guess. Then I remembered, that I had these slices of black bread, that I had bought the other day and those slices were already kind of old, I mean, they were not that soft, as they were when I bought them, however, they were really delicious, because they had those sunflower seeds and some other things in them, so that I really liked them and didn’t want to take them out to trash, so that I cut them into small cubes and decided to put them into that egg mixture and then bake them together in that tray. And, trust me, that was a great idea!

Well, I turned my electric oven on 180 degrees Celsius and let it warm up for a couple of minutes and I had this tray warmed in it, too with a little bit of olive oil on it. Then I put it out and poured this egg mixture with bread piecesand put it back in. after a couple of minutes I checked it out and it needed some more time, so that I waited for a couple of minutes and then it was just perfect and I turned the oven off and let it be there for some time. When I took it out and served it to myself, it was just great and I was really glad about my decision of adding some bread pieces to it. it was a pretty easy, cheap and nourishing meal, if you ask me. And it just needed 10 minutes, I guess, to be prepared or something like that, not more.

Omelet with bread and sausage and beans

So, the other recipe of that omelet is this one with bread and sausage and red beans. This really made the omelet something different and more like a dish, because all of the things that I had added to the eggs gave it some special taste and it was all very delicious. It kind of resembled pizza or something like that and it was pretty good, however, no one has tasted it but me and I don’t really know other people’s opinions about it, however, I can say, that I really liked it and I would prepare it again. Well, there is this one little thing and it’s about those beans. You should have beans already prepared or buy those beans especially for that one, because if you want to prepare an omelet with beans and you don’t have beans already cooked and ready, then you will have to wait for a couple of hours for the beans to be cooked and then prepare the omelet and that’s just not what you want, of course. And, well, you know, omelet is for a quick meal, because it’s easy to prepare and you can prepare it pretty quickly, in just some minutes, so that you won’t need to wait for some things to get ready and then add them to something and so on and so forth, you know the drill. And if you don’t have those beans prepared, you can just skip them and don’t add them to that egg mixture, however, those beans gave this special taste to my dish and it was pretty good.

Well,  I beat 4 eggs, then added some cube-shaped black bread and chopped one medium sausage and then added about 3 tablespoons of those red beans all spiced and cookedand stuff like that. Then I poured that whole thing into this rectangular shaped baking tray and put it into the oven on 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes or so. When everything looked kind of golden and there was this amazing smell of the dish, I turned the oven off and took my dish out and cut it and had a taste of it. it was really good, trust me.

Omelet with tomatoes and cheese

This is that recipe of my friend that I told you about and I want to tell you how she prepared it. it came out really delicious, though she didn’t really know what to expect from it. however, she had this idea of preparing omelet with cheese and tomatoes, because that’s what we had plenty at that moment, I guess. So that, she beat 4 eggs and then she shredded the cheese and peeled a tomato and chopped it and well, at first I whisked those eggs and while the frying pan was getting hot on the gas with some oil in it, she prepared those cheese and tomatoes. While she was doing that, I already whisked the eggs with some salt and then she added that shredded cheese and chopped and peeled tomato to the eggs and I whisked them together, too. Well, then we poured this mixture into the frying pan and let that be like that for a while.

After a couple of minutes, she stirred with a wooden spatula and she just stirred like that, without any particular direction, so that this whole thing was divided into some pieces and that way it would get cooked quicklier and more evenly, I guess. After a couple of minutes, she turned the gas off and we took some pieces of the dish to have a taste and decide whether it was good or not. To be honest, she has this habit of serving something in a great amount and she just got almost all of the dish on my plate, however, I didn’t really want that much. well, I couldn’t do anything, but to eat that everything. I must say, that the dish was pretty tasty and everything was just nicely cooked there. Everything came out pretty good and that was another recipe for those omelet recipes. You know, there are so many things that you can add to the eggs and prepare something special, which you will be satisfied with. Eggs are just great, if you ask me, and you should always have them in your fridge. And they don’t even cost much. I mean, you can buy an egg for 30 Tetris, however, there are some eggs, which you can buy cheaper. However, you should remember, that they don’t really recommend eating more than 3 boiled eggs a day because of its nutritious values, I mean, it contains cholesterol and it’s not that good to have it in much amounts, because then you will be in a risk group of having atherosclerosis and it’s not especially recommended for people after 60 to have many eggs a day for meals because of that.

Omelet-baked bread

You know, these things are favourite for many people here in Georgia, it’s like they are really good for breakfast and pretty nourishing, because they have bread and, at the same time, some eggs. We used to have them in childhood and we just loved them. We had them with tea and stuff like that in the mornings and, well, to be honest, not only children love that dish. And when you have some old bread and it’s not that soft as it is when it’s fresh, you can still use those slices of bread and put them into eggs mixture and just put them on a frying pan and prepare them, if you want to know the truth.

Well, the preparation process is not hard, of course, because it just needs two ingredients, which are eggs and bread slices. You can get 5 of them with just two eggs, I guess, so that that’s pretty enough for just one person, or even for two persons, it all depends on how hungry those persons are! So, you just take two eggs, beat them and whisk them with a little bit of salt and then put bread slices into it one by one and put them on an oiled frying pan which is already on a gas all hot and stuff like that. It doesn’t need much time to get cooked, so that after a couple of minutes you can turn them on the other side and then it’s ready, so that you can eat them at once. I like them to be soft,however, some like them to be kind of crispy and if you want them to be crispy, you can wait for some minutes to get crispy. You know, they are really tasty and when you prepare them and have a taste, you will want to have them at breakfasts or just anytime, if you want to know the truth.

There’s another thing, too, you should put those bread slices into the eggs’ mixture for some seconds, so that the whole slice will be filled with the mixture and so that it will be really soft and moist when you cook it. I really like it that way, if you want to know the truth. To be honest, I soak those bread slices into that eggs’ mixture for some time because of that. Well, some people just put them into the eggs’ mixture and take them out immediately and put them on a frying pan and that’s when there’s no eggs’ mixture inside the bread slice and there’s just this bread piece inside without any eggs. Well, if you want the whole slice of bread to be well-soaked and stuff like that, you should slice the bread into  really thin slices and then it will be very easy to soak them quickly and efficiently into the eggs’ mixture. That’s how I prepare them. However, some people like thick slices, so that they have those thick slices and soak them into the eggs’ mixture. Both of them are really delicious if you prepare them wisely,if you ask me. Some people even prepare this meal with Shoti bread _ that is bread that is made in Kakheti and it’s really delicious, however, I don’t really think, that it’s a good idea to use Shoti for this meal. Shoti is to be eaten alone or with cheese or with some other things, like beans or something like that. And it’s pretty delicious when it’s hot and fresh!
