My self invented version of french toast
Okay so this is my first time ever posting an entry like this and I don't know whether you guys will like it or not but the truth is ever since I moved here I have started experimenting with way too many recipes and so I hope some of those can help you guys out too. Let's see!
Saturday mornings are my favorite mornings. Yes a person can have a favorite morning and your argument is invalid. I love Saturday mornings because you wake up with the realization that you’ve still got Sunday to relax for or do all of your chores that need to be done on weekends. I usually go out on Friday nights cause I mean it’s Friday nights man and I always come back home super late and I’m usually in bed till noon on Saturday. Anyways so once I do get up, I need a super big energy boost to just make it through the day and get some work done or else imma just be a lazy koala for the rest of the day. So I usually make my sloppy lazy version of a French toast and top it with lots and lots of whipped cream. The whipped cream is the essence of the toast and without it the toast will have no meaning. Yes I just got deep about French toast, you all may stop reading my posts from now on. Anyways I’m going to share my sloppy version of the lazy saba French toast and you all can make it for yourselves at home and get creative with it. I’m sure yours will come out tasting better than mine.
Okay so the ingredients are :
A bread that is a little crunchy is also extremely yummy for this
You need one egg
One cup of milk
Cinnamon as much as you want
Vanilla just a tad bit
And lastly some sugar
What you do is that you take a bowl which is large enough to soak the breads in later. You beat an egg in it and then add some sugar to it, the sugar really depends on you, I usually add one or maximum two table spoons of sugar to the mixture because like I said I eat it with a lot of whipped cream and that’s usually sweet as well. Okay add the vanilla and cinnamon to your mixture and beat the egg some more lastly add your milk to it. Make sure you make an even mixture and mix it fully together. Now lightly grease a pan and put it on medium heat, soak your toast in the mixture and make sure every part of the bread is evenly soaked. Then take it out of the mixture and hold it for a few seconds so that the excess liquid is removed, place it in the pan and let it slowly fry over the medium heat, when one side is golden, turn it around and let the other side turn golden. When it’s done take them out, put the on a plate and add whipped creams, sliced banana, strawberries or blueberries, some butter or even maple syrup. The choice for the topping is yours really, just see what you like the most and go with it.
Hope you enjoyed this small piece on my favorite Saturday mornings lazy breakfast. I will add the pictures the next time I make this, I promise to not forget this time! Pinky promise!
Cheers!
