Cream filling pound cake
The introduction
Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!
In this article I want to tell you about that pound cake, which I prepared this other day. Well, you may find this pretty boring, if you are reading my blogs regularly, because I have written about these different pound cakes over and over again, but I’m having fun and, besides, they are not the same pound cakes, as you might have guessed, and they are all different, with different ingredients added to them and I just want to share this fun experience with you, because those pound cakes are really easy to prepare and are very good, and delicious , and, well, you can try so many new things there, that you can’t really imagine, I guess. And, well, this other day I wanted to prepare a pound cake, but I didn’t want it to be dry just like some pound cakes, and I wanted it to have this cream filling inside, so that it would be something really different from all those cakes, that I had done before, I mean, those pound cakes and it would be pretty delicious, I hoped, and well, I just wanted it to be really good and as anticipated.
Well, I didn’t really had many ingredients, however, I still had those ones, that were the necessary ones and I could easily prepare this pound cake with cream filling, though it would need some more time, than the usual one.
because I would have to prepare the cream filling, too, and then I would have to put it into that dough for the pound cake and stuff like that. Well, the process itself was pretty exciting and I was looking forward to putting the cream filling into this dough and see how it would be cooked and everything, because I really wanted to see what would happen there, and I had been planning on preparing this pound cake with the cream filling inside of it and finally this day came and I could do that and I was really happy about that.
Ingredients:

- Coconut yoghurt Chudo, 50 ml
- Kefir, 30 ml

- Unsalted butter, 100 grams
- White granulated sugar, ½ cup
- All-purpose flour, 1 cup and a little more
- Vanilla powder
- Kiwi flavoured chocolate bar, 20 grams
- Baking soda
- Drops of vinegar
- Oil
- Peanuts roasted
- Coconut flakes
- Lemon zest
- Cream filling
Preparation process
Well, the preparation process started with me getting all the ingredients out of the fridge and ordering them or whatever. It was like a habit, I mean, I’ve prepared so many pound cakes already, that I just get those ingredients together automatically,I guess, and it’s a pretty good thing, if you ask me, because that way I just don’t need to remember things or to read the recipe somewhere or things like that and it all just comes naturally and I can easily prepare the pound cake dough that way.
So, I took the butter and put it into this small bowl and melted it and then I added the sugar to it and at first, it was ½ cup of that white granulated sugar, however, then I decided to have some more added, so that it was more than that half a cup of sugar and that was a good idea to add some of that sugar, because otherwise it would be like a bread , I mean, it wouldn’t be that sweet, however, it still was not very sweet, if you want to know the truth, so that don’t be afraid of adding that sugar, it won’t do any bad there, you know.
After that, I poured it into a mixing bowl and had some eggs added and I had them mixed together well. Well, to be honest, I had those eggs beaten in another small bowl, so that I wouldn’t get any shells or bad eggs into my mixture, you know. and I also added some oil, too.
Then it was time for the dairy, I mean, I had some cottage cheese and kefir and coconut yoghurt from Chudo mixed together in a separate bowl and then I had this one teaspoon of baking soda taken and dropped some vinegar on it and then I had it put into that dairy products’ mixture and whisked them , so that it got fluffier and then I poured that thing into the mixing bowl, where I had those other ingredients and started the mixer.
When everything was pretty much mixed, I added the lemon zest and coconut flakes and some vanilla powder and then I added the flour little by little, and when the consistency was alright for me, I had my mixer turned off and I tasted the dough and it tasted pretty good, so that I decided, that it was time to pour the mixture into the baking form and have it baked in the halogen oven.
So that, I turned the halogen oven just to preheat it while I was assembling the dough. I took that pound cake baking form and greased it with some oil and then I poured some of the dough into it. Now it was time to add some cream filling and I thought, that it wouldn’t be easy, however, when I put some of the pieces of the cream filling, it didn’t seem that difficult, the main thing was not to put the cream filling nearby the walls of that baking form, because that way the dough wouldn’t cover it and it would be like “outside” of its borders and it would melt outside or whatever. So that I kept the cream filling in the middle of the dough and when I added that enough amount, I could then pour the remaining half of the dough on it. So that I did that and everything was just perfect and I put the cover on the baking form and put it on a low rack into the halogen oven and turned it for 50 minutes and on the 175 degrees Celsius and waited for it to be baked.
I was really excited about my cream filling pound cake, because I hadn’t done anything like that, I mean, I didn’t know how the cream filling would be inside that dough and I couldn’t wait for the cake to be ready, of course.
Well, after those 50 minutes, I checked the cake and it was baked and everything and I just took it out and set it aside, so that it would get cooled down. After some time, I took the cake out of the baking form and put it on a plate and then I started preparing this glaze, which I kind of made up, well, it was nothing fancy, but it was my idea, so…
So that, I had this kiwi fruit flavoured chocolate bar bought the other day and I really wondered, how it would taste and then I thought, that I would prepare this glaze for my cream filling pound cake and pour it on it and taste it that way, so that I took some piece of it and put it in a small heatproof bowl and melted it and I also added some butter to it, so that it wouldn’t get burned while being melted. After it was all melted, I took it and poured onto my cream filling pound cake at once, so that it wouldn’t get hard or something like that. And I added some roasted peanuts on topof it, so that they would get stuck on it until it was melted. Well, everything went just great and I had to wait for some time for the cake to be cut.
To be honest, the cake tasted really good, I mean, it was not dry or anything and it was pretty moist and that cream filling made it taste even more deliciousand it was not just a simple usual pound cake anymore, rather, it was a pretty fancy cake, with that greenish chocolate glaze and peanuts on top of it, so that you could just take it while visiting someone and it would be a perfect gift for anyone loving pound cakes, if you ask me.
